The Closing of Our Studio - It's a sad day!
I’m thinking about whether to get the A6700 or the A7IV. What holds me back from the A7IV is that I have quite a few lenses that are APS-C. Do you think I should take a big step and switch to the A7IV, or since I have more APS-C lenses, should I stick to the APS-C line and go for the A6700?
@@C.Krisztián we really love the a7iv and can't recommend it enough. Its a big expense having to buy new lenses but it really can be a 1 time thing and you'll love the features and quality the a7iv has. That being said... I do love the size of the apsc lenses. We also shoot them all the time on full frame and a7rv because even in apsc mode it's enough resolution for what we do. Should we make a video about this?
Please use less distracking background music.
I live with the 4k 60 crop as the a7s iii is garbage for my bird-in-flight photography. Now were I mainly a video shooter I'd go a7siii for the low light.
Hi, would it be possible to get the stl file for the card holder? Love the card management workflow.
please do A7RV and A7iv
🔥🔥🔥
What light do you use for the backlight? Thanks!
Great video. 😆How about the low light test for A7iv 4k60 VS A7siii 4k60?
@@ariesoliva8909 that's a good question... We should make a video about this 😅
Impressive. Wonder what ai software you are using.
Thanks! It's internal.
a7iv colors are way better out of the box + you can use 4k crop mode
I’m often in San Diego, is this still up? id love to see it!
My question is: Does the Sony brand make the same amount of noise as the Vello? Its hard to quietly use the Vello for weddings.
Can you say what the bitrates are for the recording choices?
I thought a74 is a Full Frame!! I have a6400 and thinking of upgrading but still confused what to get next
awesome video, thanks for that. how you did to attach the monitor arm to the cart? thanks
How bout the latency?
thanks guys, you saved me a lot of money
love it. glad you had an electrician do the hardwire. not difficult but better safe than sorry. (electrician as my paying gig right now because getting photo clients is HARD) you can NEVER have enough flat surfaces to pile stuff!
We just got lucky he was available because he's always busy. 😅😅
i did the same thing but while i thought about getting the 200s, i would have needed some S brackets but flashox/gopoint (lol) have a 300ws triple set up that was about the price of 1 200 and the S brackets and came with stands (im ocd so matching stands is a big thing to me) and a nice carry case. i did the same triangle, with the modeling lights on (for my 'constant light' for small pupils). the only bad thing is that theyre corded. i have a fp 400 evolv that i used for a single background light. it all worked pretty good for about a dozen headshots i did as some tfp for a local museum staff. it was also the first time i shot tethered. i had only 2 copies though because i was on location lol. i got the glow ez up/ez pop in 12x36 strip lights i LOVE your studio. the equipment cage is amazing. i have the same tripod and just got a new ball head for it. great video!
We're constantly discussing the switch to 300s but we're so set up with 600s we're not sure if it's the move anymore.
We appreciate you checking it out. Let us know what you'd like to see or any questions we can answer!
sometimes is like to feel hammer in your hand - doesnt matter lighter is better, I will say - I will stay with Meike!
Don't mean to a be a downer, but this was is wayyyy too long. for nothing.Don't need to see the outtakes, I just want to learn. Thanks
Absolutely loved your video! Well explained by friendly people! Subbed! 💪
Hey, great video. I'm just fitting out a studio and this set up is perfect. Was already looking at the Bror trolley from Ikea but flipping the shelves is genius! I've never used a monitor arm so could you tell me how it attaches to the thin edge on the top? Thanks!!
Could you please add the model of each of the light modifiers?
Don't wide lenses have their issues? Compensating for crop in 4K60 by using a pseudo-fisheye lens is not a very good solution for anyone who is serious about shooting video.
Same issue as me, almost throw them out
I did...I threw one out.
@@lumetrymedia 😂😂
This was the video I was looking for
not sure those are c stands - but your video is proper
Fantastic video guys just want to start off with that, but at the end of the day, if you’re using your cameras for professional work in the field, you should go with the Sony grip. It’s made of the same material as the camera itself, (magnesium alloy body) it’s actually designed with the blueprints for the camera itself. Now, if you’re a hobbyist, or using your camera indoors only then the third-party options are absolutely fantastic. But I wouldn’t trust a third-party grip if I was shooting a wedding for instance, or really any event that’s only one time thing. Third-party grips are fine if it’s a repeatable thing, but do you really want to trust a third-party grip on a several thousand dollar paid shoo BecauseBecause you wanted to save 300 bucks. If it’s that big of a deal, increase your prices of your shoots by like $50. The only reason I even consider third-party lenses right now is because Sony released all the schematics for the emount several years ago which allows third-party manufactures to actually create native lenses without having to reverse engineer anything. basically it comes down to if you’re professional you should buy the appropriate gear for the type of work you’re doing. Using cheap, third-party equipment is rarely the route to go as it can cause you to mess up an entire event. And while there’s a time in place for this type of gear, I don’t personally believe it belongs in the bag of a professional who’s out in the field
thanks for sharing this beautiful ideas 🎉
Great video, great info and well presented. Your personality works very well for streaming!
I am doubting to buy the eyelighter reflector 3 or the curved softbox glow. Would the reflector really ve annoying in terms on not being able to adjust the strength?
This video was so helpful! Thank you!
where do you get your banner stands and table covers?
Um where’s your assistant I need more content w her??
Great video! Why do you shoot headshots horizontally opposed to vertically?
We only shoot horizontaly as we find we prefer the shoulders not being cut off.
What paint do you recommend for the floor ?
20 seconds in on headphones i cant stand the pounding and handling noise on your table you really really need to put those mics on arms to the floor or another table thats not connected to what your shooting on cause that shit is terrible. I cant hear it with speakers but i tend to watch videos with headphones and man its loud
Overkill A7IV
Best explanation I've come across regarding this topic
Great Video.. 1 - what size were your soft box rectangles? I couldn't hear it. And, I have 2 AD400's and an AD300 wondering if you'd use the AD300 for the bottom eyelighter and the AD400's as your main lights. And lastly, I don't have any other lights, how would you make your background white without the top 2 lights. Thanks
Just make the background white in photoshop
Educative video it is, thank you.
This guy is very mischievous. He is presenting this post with the simplicity as a joke would but if you take him serious enough, you learn a lot. Brilliant. by the way, Naomi is awesome .
Lovely!!

Get the a7iv instead of a7siii, save yourself $1000, then add $200 and buy yourself the Sony 14mm 1.8, now you have a camera shooting 4k 60 with 21mm lens
Can you record nlog 10 bit on this recorder ?
can you put anymore lights
This is great !! What size is the curved reflector please ?
