the government just printed money for the war while most of the world was in ruins. Corporations slowly absorbed most of this wealth. Got it.

So what we’re saying here is bad the radical Republicans did not follow the process of law and ratify the 14th amendment that called for due process of law. By the way, I am a Republican.

There's a great little paperback novel called Jordy, Bounce, and Lilli, that captures the flavor of the post- WWII era through the lives of two small children and their cat. I know it's available on Amazon. … Loved it.

During WW2 many factories were built in the US. After WW2 most of the developed world was destroyed, but the US was untouched. From WW2 through the 1960 the US produced products for the world Taxes from the sales to other counties paid for our interstate and most 4 lane roads in the US. In 1970 US oil production peaked and the cost of living was getting higher. from 1970 through till around 2000 factories shut down and moved to other countries,. Also, from around 1980 many college educated jobs were relocated to other countries. in the late 80s religion became stronger in the US as Americans prayed to god to bring back the jobs.... I guess god did not care. The death of middle class.

Yes, but that’s the argument that labor unions were making in the early years of the labor movement. I really need my students to understand why labor unions often had anti-immigrant stances.

Helpful video. Some mistakes are 'Muckrackers" should be ?Muckrakers", Jacob Riis is pronounced "Reese" not "Rice", and Upton Sinclair does not have an "e" at the end of his name. Nice video footage though and good photographs. Well done.
