Just a quick chat in my car, its been a difficult couple weeks for me and covid restrictions have made it harder for me, as I am aware many of your are also struggling. Some emotions flair in a special spot was once planned to be my full stop, but now it is but a foot note in my progression and personal growth. I love you all and stay safe. Remember there are employment assistance lines, lifeli...

Hi guys, a little review and explanation on some of the techniques I have tried at your suggestion. They all worked great in their own ways and I would strongly suggest you all give them your own trial.
A boys weekend
Переглядів 934 роки тому
Hi guys, went on a boys weekend with a couple mates and had an absolute ball, not the toxic masculine thing we see on tv but a truly spiritual and nurturing experience. I hope you all give it a go.
A good ending to a horrible night.

A young man in my life struggled with suicidal thoughts, a bit of his story and the outcome. I couldn't be prouder of this guy for what he went through and what he continues to deal with for his mental health.

Call from ex

Had a call from the ex with outlandish accusations, just remember guys if they can no longer control you or effect you they will do anything and everything they can to effect your calm. DONT allow this. Proud of you all, keep your chin up and keep going.
You time.

I finally tried the yelling thing. Its weird that after my first go at it, I felt somehow guilty for losing control. It is as if I am not supposed to loose control even though there was no one there. Keep up the great channel Cal. It is making a difference.

Im very proud of you for giving it a go, I know it can seem strange, wrong and inappropriate but that is because we are always told from a young age "dont raise your voice at me", "your too loud", "keep it down" etc etc. When I take to the field I am so loud yelling orders etc and thats my vent, with Covid preventing that I am relying on this, like a teapot over boiling, let the pressure out a bit and you will feel better. Great job.

Love hearing about guys doing things together in a non-toxic way. Bravo. I am heading to Smiths Lake with a few nearest and dearest for a weekend of chilling, fishing, board games, chats and laughs. Can't wait.

I do this almost every weekend. I'll sit by the river with a coffee, hang out alone for a bit and just relax, and its brilliant. The best part though, is that most times, I'll send a snap to a couple friends, and withing 20 minutes, they've joined me. Its the best of both worlds.

Sadly I feel the patriarchy expects the women in your life to gas you up and make you feel good.

We had a great time helping clean up a mates block a couple months back. All the hard work of clearing briar had been done and now it was ready to be burnt off since fire restrictions had eased. So we lit the fires and sort of just filtered around the block. Chatted with people made sure someone was watching the pile then moved on. The heat from the fires warmed the bones and the conversation felt like it eased our souls

Breathing exercises really help if you're experiencing panic attacks (used to help me heaps) Breathing in to the count of 4 and breathing out for 5. I'm am someone who deals with self harm, i was cutting and I do have light scarring from it. I seen a psychiatrist a while back and she gave me a technique for dealing with the urge to self harm, which was getting a rubber band bracelet the kinds they sell at counters for charities, they're unisex and basically are like a thick rubber band. Pulling back and letting it snap on your wrist to produce brief harmless pain to distract you. My brother used to have a punching bag hanging under the back varandah that he used have a go of when he was feeling angry, helped calm him down heaps. Any form of exercise helps heaps to lift your mood, really helps the mind to just get out and go for a nice 30 min walk.

Thank you very much Pastel Invader, Im glad you have used these techniques to help yourself better cope, I have used the breathing exercise known as box breathing in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, empty for 4 and repeat until Im centered. I hope you are well and Im so thankful that you have shared some of your story with me.

Great work mio amico. I have been studying longsword for a long time, and in my classes I run a meditation. It has helped myself and people within the class to manage anxiety, and gain some peace and clarity. You are doing good work.
