For $299 when the DC brushes wear out(unless it's brushless) then you will have wasted your _. Better to use a Solar panel plus power inverter plus Walmart ac motor box fan
What's The CFM ?
Just got mine! I plugged it in, and boom! It works! Very quiet compared to other fans. I had a question about connecting the bullet connectors to my MC4 connectors on a solar panel and I got a phone call within 30 minutes. The tech was very helpful and told me how to make the connection. I'm very pleased with this fan and I just bought another one!
Step one. Test the fan to make sure it works. It would suck to go through all of that to find that something was wrong with it.
Before you install the fan, get some rubber insulator pad that you will use in between the frame of the fan and the lumber, it will absorb lots of vibration and will be much more quiet

You can remove the fan blades and put it upside-down so you can install it in the right position. I bought two 14 inches fans 12vdc exactly the same like the one in the video for $42.87 on Amazon and I also bought a separate solar PV array for $180 bucks so I save a lot of money
My solar panel has large connections that does not match the wiring. Do I need to go buy the right connectors and splice?
Thank you for your question. No, you do not need to change anything, the connectors on the panel are mc4 connectors and even though they look big the are compatible with the bullet connectors that come on the 15' feet of extra wire. For further help please contact us threw the channel you purchased from.
Why on earth did you install that fan like that. These fans are reversible full and push just need to reverse the wiring lmao
You can reverse the wiring but you get better airflow when you flip the whole fan.
So the way the fan facing out with the word AMTRAK SOLAR facing outside, is that mean the fan is pulling hot air from inside to outside? Right now I have it installed just like this guy did but the air is pulling from outside into inside. It's confusing to me. Thanks.

I would've done a temperature survey of attic temperatures before and after fan installation. I'm using a wireless temperature/humidity monitor (Lowe's $16) - placed sensor in attic - getting peak temperatures of 108 - 118. Gonna install solar powered fan in existing turbo-fan already on roof.

You can buy a thermostat (for Amtrak Solar products only) on Amazon or our website www.amtraksolar.com . The fan turns off automatically at night because it receives no sun during that time. You can buy and install an on off switch between the fan and the panel.
