I trust you are well and are open to responding to my message. Before you even start, let me admit to being new to Revit. I am more familiar with Bentley Software and am in the process of switching applications. As you would know that comes with challenges. Permit me also to say many thanks for even opening the email. That is appreciated. I have been building a window family that has three operable panels. The top panel opens on a horizontal axis at the head of the window Jamb and pushes outwards The two bottom panels open on vertical axes on either sides of the window Jamb and pushes outwards Ultimately, I shall insert a sash on the inner face of the family but that is not a challenge. The louvred panels will act as shading/storm shutters. The whole assembly creates great flexibility in the control of ventilation and natural lighting. The panels are all louvred panels In your UA-cam Video you outline how to create a window family with operable awnings. The video is an excellent video and certainly succeeded in showing me how to create operating windows. Thanks for that. In using your methodology, I am placed in a bind however. It shows that you seem to rotate the axes of the awning family 90 degrees to the axes of the window frame family. My challenge comes when I have to rotate the axes of the Louvred Panel Family in which the blades of that family reside. When I load the Louvred Panel Family into Window Frame Family, I am not able to rotate the Louvred Panel Family through 90 degree as shown in your video. Specifically, I do not know how I can rotate a family once it has been loaded into a host family. I am not able to place views from the family editor or I certainly would have added such a view. I look forward to hearing from you.
i don't have place on work plane T-T
