www.Herts-FPV.co.uk I didn't plan to even put the FPV system into the drift car, it just kind of happened spur of the moment but me and my son have had loads of fun driving the car around with the DJI FPV system since. We run the car on a 3300mah 2s which gives about 15 mins run time - after each battery the air unit was warm but not hot when running 25 or 200mw. Car driven by my 10 year old so...

Actually you don't need to have the ESC/FC to supply the power. Can plug right into the battery. Air unit takes up to 4S
Yeah air u it can just connect straight to a battery, I used this setup because I use the balance lead to plug into a low battery alarm, also sometimes use NiMH batteries which don’t have a balance lead so the pdb just makes it simpler for using different battery types but yeah could simply connect air unit straight to the battery

You should go without the shell so you don't get the wobbling on screen
The shell actually really help reduce the vibration, I tried the cam mounted directly to the chassis and the vibration was really bad
What did you use to hold the smoke grenade in?
it was a 3D printed mount the smoke bomb slipped into and was a tight fit that held it into place. if you pause the video at 0:01 you can see the mount

Do you remember how much weight you needed in the front to get the cg just right? I have had some serious cg issues but maybe I’m just rushing it. Tail heavy or nose heavy. No In between.
What is the max distance you have achieved with the air unit?
About 3 miles, still had good picture, I don’t really do many really long range flights

Haha I think may get a bit dizzy as have to steer it left and right a lot to drift it lol. Would definitely be cool on a crawler etc that requires less frantic steering
