Hi you will find the map, the rules and some 3D printed units on www.historicalboardgaming.com/ Everything you need is on there. But mostly the game pieces come from your personal choices and customizations. As base, the game uses Axis and Allies pieces.

@@paulcooverjr.6947great idea! I fully recommend really fun game! My current map is the one form V4.0. The map did change for balance purposes in V4.1 and it works perfectly with the current V4.2. The changes were minimal and Im still able to play V4.2 with my map. I just couldn’t justify to buy a new one. But the current map is named either V4.1-V4.2 which are essentially the same.

Simply because his forces were too strong. His lightning war ability allowed him to take Moscow T1 of Barbarossa even if I advanced on the factories. The priority was to not let Moscow fall. It was just impossible to defend the factories and Moscow at the same time. And, my apologies I didn't miss understood your question the first time.

For now we are at peace since its only turn 5 out of like 18-20 ish or so. We can’t really tell who is winning yet. But the Axis are gonna DOW on France probably soon.

Hi! If you go on the Historical board gaming website there is a list of suggested units you do need for the game. The list is not a 100% accurate but it gives a good idea of what you need to start. Unfortunately, this is an expensive project that can easily reach a thousand dollars. Some people manage to make it a little less expensive but even if you do own axis an allies games there are a lot of units to buy. Just to name a few, you need different sculpts for tank destroyers, light armor, heavy armor, medium bombers, light cruisers, seaplanes, etc., and this is for almost every nations. You can always use plastic chips to differentiate units to make it a little less expansive. Some people in the community managed to build some pretty nice set ups at a low price so I'm not saying it is impossible. But to be honest this game is expensive but it is a 100% worth it.

Thanks for the info on the Historical Board Gaming website. What did you start with in the beginning stages of your collection, and do you have any tips or recommendations to help a newbie like me get started without breaking the bank hahaha. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

@@mkajr7632 No problem! Mostly you'll need to buy the sculps of units that are not in A&A 1940. But like I said you can always use plastic color chips to differentiate units classes which is a cheap alternative. I do have some recommendation but it is pretty hard to explain over UA-cam comments. We do have a discord community server that can help you with some of your questions if that's what you are looking for.
