Visiting Sheffield Botanical Gardens in 2024!
This is the worst video I have ever seen
Bless you. Enjoy the rest of your day. I’m sure it will get better for you.
Luckily your comment is completely irrelevant to him as are you
Hello! Just subscribed!
Ooooh, not had a Chorley cake in ages, thank you.
I’d rather go from Leeds to Paris than from Paris to Leeds 😂
So what were the 5 modes of transport? Coach e-bike Train Underground train - is that sufficiently different from a regular train to count? As for the 5th, can we count Shank's pony? Thought you might have taken a cab to get to the Eiffel Tower.
The ferris wheel gone now
@10:38 I see what looks like braille, perhaps for people with visual impairment to read?
The area near the sea looks beautiful at the beginning of your video, @19:19-19:28 was a brilliant shot.
Thank you Carol. Yes, it was a beautiful place to visit. Well worth visiting if you've not been before.
@@richlordtravelsHopefully one day
Yes please today would be nice
I think every day would be a good day to visit Badger!
Positive review and comments nice to see. I did enjoy this video.
Thank you. Bishop Auckland was a lovely place to visit. I hope to return again and to spend longer there.
Beautiful Town.. Loved Watching… Thanks for Sharing..
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, Llandudno is one of the best British seaside towns I've visited. I really enjoyed my time there.
1 minutes 10 seconds in that's my face on some of those "Real Live Degrees" walls, and I hate it 😅.
Hehe, hard life being famous for you! Hope you enjoyed the rest of the video. I'm hoping to do another one this Winter so look out for that one too.
cool name
Haha, yes - quite unique! :)
Great video. A very cute village but your video was very entertaining.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Keep up the good work, yourselves too! :)
Hello nice video,👍 great channel thanks for sharing like for you + sub take care 🙋🇮🇹🇬🇧
Thank you. Keep up the fab work, yourself too!
what a little blue plaque village!! Thanks for sharing this travel to us.
Thank you. It’s a lovely place to go. Let me know if you try the fish and chips!
So many shut up shops !
It was a Sunday morning. I shall do another video on a Saturday when the market is bustling and lots of people out and about doing their shopping. It’s a vibrant little town.
The S & D went far west of Darlington terminating at a mine west of Bishop Auckland, crossing the river Gaunless next to West Auckland. Google Gaunless iron railway bridge and look at old maps on the internet.
It's definitely an area I would be happy to return to and find out more about. Thank you for sharing this information. I will look forward to exploring further next time I come to visit.

Thank you. Ah, that's interesting to hear. Thank you.
@@richlordtravels The reason I've posted my message several times is because my first 2 attempts vanished into the ether!?
Why didn't you show the Deer House? It was just in front of you at one point. The Gaunless drove Ferren's Mill for over a 100yrs 500 yds upstream of where you where.
Ah, what a shame. I knew it was somewhere fairly nearby, but time ran out as I was on a fairly tight schedule. I will definitely come back again though, as it looked so nice there. Glad the Gaunless has more history to it as well. Time for a follow up video next year I think!
The Burg lol
Please excuse my pronunciations! It's part of my learning when I go places, how I should say certain words, hehe! :)
Darlington a 'market town' with the market square fenced off and seldom used--- no wonder the town center is dying!
There's definitely opportunities to make use of spaces in many a town up and down the land. Hopefully councils will listen more to local people about what they'd like to happen, and how they'd like their public spaces used. Darlington was a lovely place when I went, and there is scope for further good things to happen too.

Great little vlog mate Love Brid, going back in a few weeks New subscriber!
Hi Rich I have a strong interest in history and enjoy your material. I really hope your subscribers increase as you evidently put significant effort into your work. You may or may not be familiar with the term "Poverty Porn" content created to feed on people's desire to look down on others which is all too easy to create. Keep positive with your outlook.
Thank you David. Yes, you're right there is a market for people looking down, but I couldn't be like that. There are so many great places that have stories to tell and to share about the places I go. We may as well enjoy what there is to enjoy.
i love this town. It used to all run like clockwork: buisnesses were staying open; people were working; people were friendly'. But then after covid, buisnesses started shutting down, people were going unemployed, but the people are still alright(maybe just a bit crazy)
Yes, the world has changed a fair bit over this last five years or so. Hopefully Berwick can turn that corner as it is really lovely place and the people deserve to get the best out of the area.
Shame the indoor market is out of action 🙁
Hopefully there will be plans to bring that back in time. There's certainly lots of people who would want this.
Thank you for this interesting tour. And following on from what you have told us about the formation of the police force…..I will keep my eyes Peeled for your next one!!!
Bobby Peel and the Peelers 👍
Indeed. Thank you for watching!
Great to hear. Thank you very much. Lots more arresting sights still to come for you to cop a view of!
0:42 its an eyesore
I guess many architectural changes over the years have appealed to some and not impressed others too. At least it is something that sparks conversation and brings interest to the lovely town of Bishop Auckland.
The useless river became world famous as George Stephenson designed an unusual bridge over it on the Stockton & Darlington Railway opened in 1825.
You're thinking of The River Skerne. The Gaunless goes no-where near Darlo.
@@kennylogon1183 I've studied railways for over 60 years, more times than you've had hot dinners. Look at old maps you will see that the S & D terminated at a coal mine west of Bishop Auckland crossing the Gaunless next to West Auckland. You can also look up the Gaunless iron bridge on Google.

Lord Penis Stone 😂😂😂😂
The north east football fans are the best in The country by an absolute Mile
Thank you - I love my town, Dewsbury. I know its seen better days - but there's still lots of gems
Manchester is Britain's second city. Culturally, economically. Look at the sky-line!
There's definitely a discussion that gets held frequently about what the measures are to define size - is it population, size of region, landmarks, economic draw. Either way, Birmingham is still the second city as it stands, and for balance - both cities are brilliant and have so much to offer visitors and locals alike.
Mohr Station
Ok. Thank you.
love a rainy day in birmingham. a walk down the canal in the rain is my cup of tea
Another video Rich, and you go further south as well. Thanks for the introduction. I’ve only been to the bull ring and the train station. Next time I can explore the city more, especially the queen’s uni building.
Yes, I'm spreading my wings a little further now. Birmingham has got lots more to offer than I could capture in the short time I was there. It's on the list for a second visit!
09423 Chester Expressway
I'm not sure of the reference, but thank you for watching.
Bishop great place great people sadly let dowh by newgate st wants demolishing make it a park put a tram line take shoppers up to retail park i live in stanhope but shop in consett much brighter
Thank you for watching. A tramline would definitely be good. Retaining footfall in an area is important, so let's hope something like that happens. You're right though, great place and great people!
My first through when I saw that was... that's a bus!
I agree, it looks very similar! It was definitely an interesting vehicle to travel on. Thanks for watching.
looks very interesting. Never knew this kind of shuttle train exists and it looks like a bus as well. Also the £1.80 fare for park and ride is value for money. Thanks for sharing this Rich.
Thank you, my friend! Yes, it was enjoyable to go and experience. I like seeing things out of the ordinary like this.
Apparently my family lineage is from the midlands although I'm a Man United Fan as sacrileges as that is too say lol
Can we claim you as an honorary fan then?! Hehe, hope you enjoyed the video!
Look at the rest of it mate it's run down and nothing like the tourist pert
I usually just explore the town centres as there is more to share for others to see. I like to keep my videos positive and upbeat. I do hope that more spending comes the way of towns like Bishop Auckland as they really are nice places with some really friendly good people living there.
Bish Vegas was once the best night out in the North East, lots of money being spent, still long way to go. Sadly so many shops boarded up like most towns. Retail parks destroy towns.
Sadly many towns aren't what they used to be. Retail parks, online shopping, and other factors make life so much harder for town centre retail businesses. It's still a good town and there was lots to see for a tourist like me and I look forward to coming back again one day.
The football museum was originally located in Preston North End ground. A few years ago it was relocated to its current location in Manchester opposite the Printworks. Thanks for the relaxing tram video this week.
Oh wow, that makes sense. Glad you're enjoying the videos!
Enjoyed it , My local town
Thank you. It’s a lovely place. I enjoyed visiting your local town. Any other towns nearby you recommend me visiting?
I don’t mean to be nasty but Blues last, what a surprise being a Villa fan. This is why Midlands fans dislike Villa. History wise and ground is number one and well deserved but you come over really arrogant. Villa are the biggest club in the Midlands and will be for a long time but you’ve won nothing for ages. The competition is weak though you are having a great run right now. How you can put Coventry above the Albion is unbelievable! A shitty arena against an historic ground like The Hawthorns is just taking the piss. Again you can’t put Blues below Walsall and that’s not to deny they gave a nice ground. You’re delusional,it seems you just want to highlight your own team. Wolves is a fantastic ground and again full of history. I’m a West Brom fan and I’m honest and sincere but you have just stereotyped what people think about Villa. Blues have had more recent trophy success. Wake up mate and don’t be so prejudiced. Good luck in the Champions league, you have earned that but you need to get a reality check. Coventry is a stadium arena not a ground. Mic drop🎤
It soon will be a swamp !!!! Koz you're dinghy invasion is on its way !!!!
Hi Rich. It was great to speak to you when you were in Bury market. Thanks for the shoulder bag recommendation. I’ve got mine now.
That's great. It was lovely to meet you too. It's a lovely market town and one I'm pleased to have visited. Hope you enjoy your bag! Maybe bump into you in another town another time! Hope you enjoyed the video.
He missed Stoke and Port Vale out both technically are in the west midlands
Hi Ian, I took those as Staffordshire along with Burton Albion, so they’d be a different video for the future.
Like the way he says " Now I'm in Birmingham "...He knows 😉Plus been called Birmingham since 1905..Added the City in 1943...Keep up.pal...🫨
Haha, there are so many great things about Birmingham as an area and we should all be proud of the city as a whole. Good luck this season! Thanks for watching.
