This is probably bizarre to read if you ever do, but I watched this around 2009-10 when I was about 7 or 8. I've just found this on the hunt for some nostalgic videos in my favourites playlist. Certainly brings back the nostalgia of that time. I barely remember the late 2000's, but this helps. Just goes to show, you really can have an impact on anyone, even if they're on the other side of the world! So thank you for that :)

The updated Fantasy in the Sky for NYE @ Magic Kingdom has more fireworks and features. I like both, sure do miss the original.
I miss Fantasy in the Sky. Wishes is good, but those ending firework shells.......I remember them being huge. But damn these were massive!! haha!

I had the immense pleasure of stage managing this show while working at the Disney/MGM Studios. This version was sometime between 1996-1998. (There was an edit in the show that is in this video, that wasn't part of the original show.) For those asking, the reason Sorcery in the Sky was closed was because of the opening of Fantasmic! That is now the night show at the Studios. It was sad to see it close. It really was an amazing show with amazing people working on it!

I had the pleasure to be in the "fireworks fallout zone" a few times. It was great! The best place to be is behind Mickey on Mickey Avenue at the restrooms. The 3 center fireworks platforms are within 100 feet of you. It looks and sounds like a battle. Great place to makeout with your girlfriend when your workin', cause nobodys gonna see you for 15 minutes.
