As a working photographer shooting mostly families, portraits and occasional events, my work can be fulfilling, and certainly rewarding to be paid for your efforts. Really well done, Bruce. It was very instructive to see the evolution of your work, or more precisely, of your vision and perception. I can't help but wonder if the chronology were reversed (You went to Hokkaido before going to Bolivia), what would that have done to your imagery? It's also instructive to see how you could never have created these images without having captured the shots in a way that gave you the material to masterfully post-process into the final images that we are fortunate to view. Please keep producing these "shorts" for us. To hear how an artist conceptualizes their work is invaluable.

I love your work. As a recovering photojournalist and event photographer I struggle with abstract and minimalist photography. I love this type of imagery but it is not easy for me to pull off. Thanks for sharing your photographs. Now I need to get out and make some of my own.
