Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs is home to Bondi beach, Bronte, Coogee, Maroubra and more. Bordering Sydney harbour, it also features affluent harbour side suburbs such as Rose Bay, Rushcutters Bay and Vaucluse.
It is trendy region in close proximity to the Sydney CBD, which is well known for its famous beaches, wonderful coastal walks and harbour access. It is loved by locals and tourists and is a popular location for young singles and working professionals.
The locations which are featured in this film, are listed below in alphabetical order (not the order of appearance in the film).
BONDI BEACH is one of Australia’s most famous and popular beaches. Bondi’s popularity is primarily due to its size, pristine sand, reliable surf, cool vibe and great location, namely because Bondi is the closest beach to the Sydney CBD. The locals call Bondi the “Bondi Bubble” and when they’re not being swamped by tourists, you can find them swimming year round at the Bondi Icebergs or at the northern end of the beach (the “locals end”).
BRONTE BEACH is a small but popular beach in the Eastern Suburbs, roughly half way between Bondi and Coogee. Bronte is a fantastic beach for families, featuring a grassy park for kids and shaded barbecues, both located right on the beachfront. At the southern end, next to the Bronte Baths (ocean pool) is a natural rock pool called the Bogey Hole, which is great for swimming and families.
COOGEE BEACH is well suited for families, as it has relatively calm waters, smaller surf, a modern playground and small park right on the beachfront. There is a small ocean pool at the southern end of the beach called the Ross Jones Memorial Pool. Coogee is where many people start or finish the very popular Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk.
MAROUBRA BEACH is a one of Sydney’s best surfing beaches, with decent swells turning the southern end of the beach into a premium wave. Maroubra is one of the largest beaches in the Eastern Suburbs - it has a public park and playground for the kids and there are public beach volleyball courts at the southern end.
ROSE BAY is an affluent harbourside suburb in Eastern Sydney. It boasts a nice little harbour beach, the Rose Bay Park and in the southwest corner of Rose Bay you’ll find the scenic Rose Bay Marina and Point Piper Marina. The UA-cam films features some surf ski paddlers from the Sydney Harbour Surf Club, which provides surf skis and group lessons for beginners (learn to paddle) through to experts.
RUSHCUTTERS BAY is a small harbourside suburb and home to the large d’Albora Marina, Rushcutters Bay Yacht Club and Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. Rushcutters Bay is the start location for a 5.5km relatively easy and very scenic harbourside walk from Rushcutters Bay to Rose Bay, featuring some beautiful parks, scenic city views and picturesque bays.
VAUCLUSE is an affluent eastern suburb of Sydney, featuring beautiful mansions and heritage homes. Vaucluse is the home to Macquarie Lighthouse, Australia’s first and longest serving lighthouse which is located on the scenic (and dog friendly) Federation Cliff Walk. Macquarie Lighthouse is sometimes referred to as the South Head Upper Light, or incorrectly as the Bondi Lighthouse.
The cinematic aerial footage was filmed with a DJI Mavic Air 2s drone (plus other/unknown drones) by various drone pilots.
Colour graded using the Buttery natural LUTs.

Yep. The natural rock pool there is excellent.
I lived from Manly to Palm Beach and my fav was Avalon way back in the 70's. Back in the States now but Australia is a magical time of my life. Great beaches, food and transportation in Sydney is amazing. Love the Botanical Gardens and the Rocks area.
The Northern Beaches of Sydney are just amazing. I’m very lucky to call them “home”

Born and raised here. Gorgeous video, but this was shot in winter. Those pristine beaches are completely packed in summer.

Watching this reminds me in what a damn Shithole (Germany) i live.... We have friends in Freshwater. The day will come when we try to move to Australia. But first we come back in January 24 for our Holidays....
Germany isn’t that bad!! I actually enjoyed my holidays there. :) That said, I do prefer living on Sydney’s beaches.

Great photography, especially of the dolphins and whale. Can I suggest that adding locations would be helpful - not much, just a small notice on the bottom of the screen saying eg Barrenjoey Headland.

Ive been living in the norhern beaches for two years now dee why and now living in manly i am from Finland myself and got too say norhern beaches is probably the best place to live in the world.

I haven't bought a Drone yet, but I admit that now seeing your masterpieces you have made, yes, the desire makes its way inside me. I don't think it's easy to record with the drone (it would be the first time for me), I should learn a lot, starting from scratch, but if the results are as fabulous as yours, then yes, I would. (The music is very sweet). 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Drone flying and filming is actually very easy and lots of fun! An excellent drone for any beginner would be the “Mavic Mini”
