    I’ve have the same problem, I also tried to push down and reset the brake light switch/sensor. But at times the tail light still stays on. Seems like the booster will not let it fully return, usually after holding the pedal down for more the a second. Did you find a solution? I have not.

    • @mr1hander
      @mr1hander 7 днів тому

      because of differences in the making of a booster that is not the original one. i used an aftermarket rebuilt unit...i had to add a slightly stronger return spring to the pedal. the pedal now comes all the way back yup every time ....and engages the brake switch properly ...a search on amazon with this part number will being up the spring i used..its a bit stiffer than the original but i works great B07KMRG2KF

    This was just a Bandaid over a very simple problem that you overlooked a lifetime ago buts it’s okay we all got to try and learn somehow. I’ve found they are just dry and need lubrication most of the time. Simple spray lube on the inner pivoting points of the wind deflector should have fixed your issues ? I can’t see how that metal would have worn down ever to cause that issue. Another thing I’ve noticed is most sunroof that end up braking are caused by small tree droppings and overtime this debris can make its way on to the tracks and jams things up and breaks parts when we forcefully attempt to close them.

    Did this work? I’m having the same problem with a panigale 1199 but it runs fine, it starts up fine hot or cold , the only problem is the gas bubbling on long hot rides and vapors filling the tank… I cant believe there aren t more comments here

    • @mr1hander

      yes sir it did, we get hot days in texas, and i have not had a problem since, but it was not just this that fixed it, this was about 90 percent fix id say. for good measure and help lower the heat getting to the tank and to me i also added 2. heat reflective material to the bottom of the tank, 3.added heat reflective shield on top of the rear cylinder head 4. header wrap both front and rear heads all the way to the mufflers. 5. i completely bypassed the vapor canister. was causing stalling and pressure build up in the tank. (once bypassed this problem went away) if you do this mod the the bubbling will go away, even on the hottest days i might get a bubble or two but it has to be really really hot. if its not vapor locking like mine was you might consider just bypassing the charcoal/vapor canister only theres a spring loaded check valve in there that allows the pressure to build up until the pressure in the tank is enough to overcome the spring, but the pressure in the tank is never fully released because of the spring. no matter how hot it gets i can open my filler lid and theres no pressure in the tank, this aint necessary to stop the bubbling, i got tired of the stalling and getting sprayed with fuel everytime i opened the fukin lid, now with the bypass, the vent hose is open to atmosphere so pressure never builds but you will have the smell of gas vapors in your garage when get back. but all of the above is what it took to stop the aggravating shit that i was dealing with. another bad thing with the canister is that if the bike fell over fuel gets in the vent line, fills the charcoal canister and then gets pushed out, on the the v4 the vent to the canister woiuld push the fuel out directly onto the blazing hot header, and you guessed it FIRE. so i plumbed it away from the header

    its called styrene , it comes in sheets, you can find it on ebay, ot comes in different thickness, i would recommend getting some 2 or 3mm thick and then once you have put it on there you can sand it down to whatever thickness you need and shape the place where the sunroof first slides onto it in to a ramp or angle... i used CA glue, fancy word for superglue but buy some CA or use a 2 part epoxy, regular superglue will not work its not good enough, also by some CA accelerator , when you spray it on the CA where you have applied it, it causes it to almost instantly cure, a better route would be some 2 part high temp epoxy , something from HYSOL brand lineup, the sunroof gets hot as satans nutsack, the CA will eventually fail and the spacer will fall away, for CA i recommend thick , it will stay in place for you and not run everywhere. you would even use a strip of wood and shape it just like the styrene sheet as well. the styrene is just easy to work with and sands very easily, once you have made the styrene spacer , use sand paper and scuff the area on the metal bar where youll be CAing or epoxying it, or it wont stick well.. after you have the spacer in there and you have it sanded and shaped it the way you need it and the sunroof is closing , aply some some CA to the top surface of the strips, just a small amount and use you finger to spread it evenly along the spacers top surface where it is sanded, doesnt take much at all, the CA will act like a hard shell/wear surface, be sure to keep your finger moving or it will instantly stick to the strip, LOL the glue will eventually peel away from your finger tip or use a plastic glove.

    The fuel also boils on the tank. Which is where most of the charcoal canister problems come from.

    • @mr1hander
      @mr1hander 9 місяців тому

      i added thermal protection to the entire bottom of the tank to prevent that . the problem was not boiling fuel, it was the leaking housing seen here allowing fuel and escape path returning from the injectors, that escape path allows the fuel to vaporize , vaporlocking my entire fuel system, after i added the orings to fix this leaky housing, it has never vaporlocked or failed to start since. and i have never heard that sound of boiling fuelm, which was not actually boiling fuel, it was pressureized vapor coming from the fuel feed lines, which found the point of least resistnce which was the housing leak, which in turn blew bubbles into the fuel, soundig like a boil, but the in tank camera shows its not a boil but a bubbling.

    your only focusing on oil pressure / oil flow, thats NOT what produces that hydrodynamic wedge, oil flow/ pressure gets the oil there and keeps the oil moving ( moving oil is cooling of the part AND the oil itself ) that hydrodynamic wedge is a property of the oil once the oil pressure fills that void at start up, hope that makes sense an engineer could explain it alot better than I could. Every oil hole, passage , and drawback are designed to control oil pressure and oil flow rate. Extra holes could potentially cause a problem with low oil pressure to that journal or too much oil. Do you really want to be the one to find that out on a new build ? Just my opinion.

    Had this issue too. After much hair pulling I found that the 45ACP brass I had picked up a year or so ago at the range had blazer small primer pockets. Been reloading for 30 years and have never seen 45ACP with small primers. Heard of it, never seen any. Well the large primers would crunch in the pocket and many times jam between the primer pin and the bottom of the shell plate. Just a PSA for old guys and new reloaders who may be running into primer seating issues with 45ACP. Thanks for the video.

    I get your logic but I don't think it is necessary. And I think you run a higher risk of spinning the bearing as there will now be a significant portion of the back side of the bearing under oil pressure. Best just to leave it alone.

    • @mr1hander
      @mr1hander Рік тому

      i kinda thought the same..i thought about machining a groove on the inside of the bearing but cutting into these is just ill advised, king bearings is looking at a nov dec time frame for the bearings i wanted with the center groove on the inside for the cam bearings..but ls engines have been running these old design bearings for a long time as well as small blocks so im sure itll be fine.. i just wanted a better hydrodynamic wedge because of the cam and dual spring setup im using.. which will put more pressure on the cam bearings through the pushrods

    My 2001 525i sunroof is having that exact problem problem, "mechanical" issue. It is hitting that front metal deflector. Hence, not operating properly. Thanks for this vid, I now have an idea how to tackle it. Though, I rarely use my sunroof. Only happens when I use my remote. It sometimes open all the windows/sunroof (typically, when I want to unlock my rear doors). But then I have to open up the top centerpiece and use an allen-wrench to manually close it...pain in the butt...at least its never been raining when this as happened to me. @rick, did you have to the the "reset/re-calibrate" (holding the button) to get you sunroof to function normally after adding that white plastic strip?

      Yours sounds like what most of them have trouble with. Debris build up in the guide rails. A clean towel and some spray silicone or dry lube would have solved this issue oh 5 years ago sorry mate 😂

    I’ve had that exact same problem. Subscribed! Thanks. Wish I would have found this video a long time ago. You should change the video name to include G0704 so people searching for this machine find it 👍.
