Sweet video as usual. I have a question for you. Do you remember me, I met you when I was still pretty new to surfing a few years ago at Ponce Inlet. I have a New Deal 8'6" x 29" 114L. Im pretty comfortable on it now and I was thinking I want to move down to a smaller board with a more performancy design. I'm thinking the Blurr V2 8' x 28" 100L. I'm sure it will take me some time to get comfortable paddling it, but I'm ok with that. Do you think that's a good choice for me? I think you are ready for a higher performance board. If you are at ease on a 114L should be no problem on a 100L. It just takes a little time to find the best spot for balance. I have been riding my new deal as a twin fin to keep the tail loose as possible. I ride my Bluir V2 as a 2 + 1 fin set up. Good video of yours down at Ponce. I thought it would be a zoo of people and surfed near Main Street Pier that weekend 🤙

Great set of clips. Totally enjoyed them. I'm looking at picking up a 7'11 Blurr. These vids have been great to get an idea of how they look on a wave. You do a great job of surfing such a big board off the tail.

what are dimensions of that sup? looks like it floats better than longboard but maneuvers better.do you need a pole to catch a wave with it. how do i get one? thanks

What fin set up do you have? Did you swap out the center fin for something bigger or are you riding with the fins that came with the board ?
On the small days I have been using a twin fin set up. On bigger days I use standard thruster fins that came with the board
Thanks for the info, I just got the 10x31 and I can’t wait for the swell to return here on the north shore. Have you ever tried it with a bigger 7”,8” center fin in bigger surf. I’m curios if it helps or hurts the liveliness of this board.
i have tired so many fin set ups in my ND 10’ 31. For me the standard thrusters that came with board we’re big for the board. my magic set up is AM large side with a 4.5 Center. game changer. the board is insane. pure fun! fast loose drive
This summer has been amazing out in Ormond. Last weekend tropic storm swell was so good. Easy solid 6 footers 7am out in beautiful Volusia county
Place is called peanuts! Before everybody's starting moveing here in the late nineties. We used to drive our trucks on the beach and stay the night here. We even turned the headlights on a few times to go Night surfing. The place used to be nothing but freedom.

Guy riding a similar board eariler this week just south of sun viking. I left everything in Ga. Lazy and getting old. Give me training next trip .
Where's everybody elese? What's the boards dimensions please. Haven't been to Ponce since it was 10.00 to drive on the beach. Caught my biggest wave there 25/26 years ago. Only time the Entire Beach had a mandatory evacuation. It was crowded of course/I accidentally eased south to the edge of the break.i rode it straight in and think I ran over a guy?

Large futures style 3 fin set up (xfinity angry thruster set)
The xl Angry? I have the xl angry in my new deal and just swapped out a smaller center fin to loosen it up

What's the new board? One I saw last week was 9' Pretty wide board.think he said 200lb. Sharpe SUP? A little chop Tuesday/Wed.Guy made it look easy/never got off/just make a u turn and 37 strokes back in front of another decently powerful wave .
