@brandonaynesmay352, with an aging pool of drivers/operators, providing entry to the machine at the ground level is important. WIth MOFFETT's Remote Ground Mount Plus RGM+ system, operators can lower the machine to the ground (or store the machine on the mounting kit) while standing on the ground, and do it from a position which is less vulnerable, away from the traffic.

While one can appreciate that using Remote Ground Mount will take longer to mount and dismount the machine compared to driving in/out of the mounting kit and using the levers, please consider it also takes longer to fasten our seat belts than to not fasten our seat belts. However, logic and experience have shown the time used to fasten our seat belts is well worth the time invested. In the same manner, if we can minimize operators stepping on, or off, an elevated machine during the mounting/dismounting process, we have decreased the likelihood for a lost time injury (LTI). To our credit, not only have we provided a method to mount/dismount from the transport vehicle without the need to climb on an elevated machine, we've also provided the operator the ability to the complete the process wirelessly. With Remote Ground Mount, the operator has the ability to mount and dismount the machine from a safe space, whether or not the safe space is on the left or right side of the transport vehicle. This is an advantage compared to systems which require the operator to stand and remain in close contact with the machine during the mounting/dismounting process. At the end of the day, Remote Ground Mount is a tool to minimize wear and tear on operators. Operators can still use the levers to mount the machine as a back up, or if their company policy allows it. Best Regards, Hiab USA

@@hiabusainc5582 I tried this feature out for a month and the "wireless access" loses access more than 6 feet from the driver side side panel meaning that you can only operate the wireless control from the driver side of the forklift. This means that if you park in the traditional right side of the road, the operator MUST lower the forklift while standing either in the middle of the road or behind the forklift where traffic is oncoming. The ONLY purpose for this feature is for the obese, elderly, or injured operators that can no longer climb up into the forklift to be and to access it from ground level. But until you can make the wireless connection to the forklift further than the width of the forklift, this is an unsafe and slower alternative to traditional mounting and dismounting. Three points of contact whike getting in and out. Problem solved . I stand by what I said.
