Quartzsite Adventures: Van Life Pride, RTR, and Black Nomad Gatherings
Join me as I recap my epic road trip to Quartzsite, where I attended three incredible gatherings: Van Life Pride, RTR (Rubber Tramp Rendezvous), and a Black Nomad “Skin Folk” community meetup. This vlog captures the essence of nomadic living, camping in the desert, and finding connections among diverse communities.
At Van Life Pride, I spent 4 unforgettable nights surrounded by queer nomads, soaking up a vibrant schedule of curated events from morning workshops to evening celebrations under the stars.
Next, I swung by RTR on their second-to-last day to participate in the open house for large vehicles, and I also set up shop to vend my natural products and self-care boxes-available at queentashasempire.com.
Finally, I wrapped up my Quartzsite journey with 4 days of Black Joy and connection with "Skin Folk", a tight-knit community of Black and Brown nomads. We shared nightly campfires, laughter, and a special potluck sunset dinner to honor MLK Day. The sense of community here was unmatched!
Quartzsite proved to be more than just a desert hub for nomads, van lifers, and RVers its also a great place to connect, thrive, and celebrate our unique lifestyles.
