Cornwall, UK, now rocking with you Big Man! Got the Maschine Mikro Mark 2, it was like £30, boxed and barely ever touched, but there are the obvious MASSIVE drawbacks of it being Mikro. But, hey, it's got me into loving the Maschine workflow, so it's all good, from small acorns, mighty oaks grow, right? What would be the main difference between the Studio and standard Maschine? Which one is the Daddy? I'm ALL about the House groove, chopping and dropping that four four love. 😍

I'm late to the Maschine Studio party in 2024. It is a discontinued product, but still compatible with the latest Machine 2.x software. I see so many for sale on line at such low prices and am thinking about buying one. Why have so many people chosen to sell their Maschine Studios?

Everything about this keyboard is great but it really is so odd that Novation did not add the Chord Mode from the Launchkey in the SL MK3, since it is supposed to be the next level. You would think they would carry on that feature. Would you happen to know if it will be added in a firmware update?? Thanks again!

Thumbs up and thanks for this - it's a great tip. One BIG question, however: Now that I have some chords saved to the pads, how can I use the pads to PLAY those chords WHILE I am jamming some lead with my right hand at the same time? Every time I touch a key while holding down a pad to play the chord I have saved to it, it ADDS that note to the chord. Is there a way I can save my chords to some pads, then LOCK that in, and have the keyboard to play on while I trigger the pads with my left hand?? Please tell me there is... :o)

Man I am trying to get back into my machine Studio but after not using it for a while I have to relearn it, not fun. It just takes so long to set up simple things to me. FL studio boom.boom bam done complex drum parts; sounds, simple. Cubase + Air -Transfuser ,incredible. Plus I cut directly in the program like how they used to cut tape in the old days. For solos and to extend clips. I don't want to get rid of it ,it's crazy to sell instruments. I always regret it. So I hope to reintegrate into my work Flow,but it is like why am I suffering to make music. Lol But what you did is what I like about machine . Maybe one day it will just what I need to do a song that's why I keep it.

Will it register in the DAW as a full chord being played or just a singular note?

Ok, I have a disability and I’m looking for something allows me play chords with one finger and at the same time play the single notes. Can I do that? Also what is the difference between this and no SL model? What differences are between SL model and regular model about chords? Can I play this keyboard directly connecting that at my amply? Or I need in both cases to use the computer? Consider I’m trombone player and I need that cause my school requires piano knowledge and with the teacher we are working out on those difficulties, so this is not my branch and I have to learn by point 0 about all.

What I dont get is: the cheaper Novation Midi Keyboards (like the Launchkey) have a function ("Sclae Chord"), that when you select a Scale (which you can also do on the SLMK3) they automatically put the main chords (i, ii, iii, IV, V, vi, vii) and even the 7ths and 9ths on the pads, so you can easily try out chord progressions and record them. I really dont know why they didn't add that on the biggest KB of their product line, since it seems like its only a matter of software not additional hardware requirements. I wrote that to them 2 years ago but it seems nobody cares and not much people ask for this super helpful feature.
