EMBRAER 175 - Gusty Landing in Newark

This was one of my first landings in a jet. Not the most perfect since I barely made the touchdown zone. Still fun to watch I think. Enjoy guys! And thank you for watching. #boeing767 #pilot #cockpitview

Just a beautiful early bird landing in ORD. Also one of the coldest temperatures I’ve ever experienced. It was -23 Fahrenheit when I walked down to do my post flight inspection. #pilot #cockpitview #embraer175/195

Flying visual approaches in a jet it’s always a blast! Really enjoyed this one. #boeing767 #pilot #cockpitview
Esses avião Embraer,175 são muito seguro aqui no Brasil um atr 200 matou 62 passageiros em Vinhedos São paulo Brasil
Great job, dude!
You fly a bugsmasher and use a $1400 headset?? WTF difference does it make. Nice landing. And ASA rules
Imagine being a headset snob.. what a paltry life... I get wanting to rock a comfortable, very nice headset, but how about letting the pilots focus the majority of their energy on being good pilots first and foremost. Worry about Gucci headsets later.
Get a Bose headset. Jesus.
Hey, who are you flying for now?
He flies for atlas
I think you did just fine, @AirplaneJunkie.
I'm flying to Denver on one of those for the first time. That was butter...nice work!!
Is this recorded on a go pro?
cool video! are you still flying the 76?
Butter
I always call the approach to the north “the turnpike approach” lol
What airline did you fly the E175 for? Do you need permission to film in the cockpit during flight?
Republic Airways
very nice. always enjoyed the gusty 22L circle 29 approach.
Why are minimums set when it's a visual? Seems like a very unnecessary call.
Nice 175 in the beginning lol click bait
Nicely done! Who’d say that after flying with me all over NJ you’d be flying a 767?
Aviões Embraer, todos os pilotos querem pilotar.
Can’t believe i just stumbled upon this video! Thank you youtube algorithm.
Embraer ( all planes models) must to be like that toy that all boy would love to receive as a Christmas gift! Why the pilots love these machines so much?
little left of the centerline but not bad...
Abx, good ol memories
It's Actually Atlas Air
Like butta!
Cool video man. Did you guys usually land the E175 with autothrottles on?
yes
Yes that’s sop on that aircraft
I wish to examine Approach Plates for Merritt Island Airport-COI ~ can we put an EMBRAER 175 in there? · Difference between STAR & Published Instrument Approach Procedures ~ Merritt Island comes up on Google Search so Merritt Island Airport ○ Alright 10 minutes work finds it on IFR Low so now I find BITHO.BITHO7 on *"fltplan"* ( dot com ) │ Apparently KCOI has one runway 11 / 29 that is 3601 x 75 … putting an Embraer 175 in there is going to need good visual conditions so I will let Lisa send me some pictures since swimming over to the beach where she will be staying uh; This Requires extensive experience …

That was 18L, actually. Nice to see the home airport from this angle. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! CVG is my home airport love it!
Do you land with autothrottle on ERJ? I know airbus lands with autothrottle and I’m curious if other planes land with A/T as well.
Yes. ERJ can land with auto throttle.
@@saxmanb777 ejets* , erj doesnt have A/T
@@vladimirvladimirovichputin4960 the E175 definitely has A/T. I flew it.
@@saxmanb777 exactly what I said, the E175 is an E-jet. The ERJ do not have autothrottle (ex: erj145)
@@vladimirvladimirovichputin4960 okay…
Hey man. Is there anyway we can DM? I am considering going to Atlas from Rjet but I do not know anyone there that could tell me the about the Atlas life. Great video!
Sure thing. Fallow me on insta and DM there. Jetguy4life
Great job
Sounds like a hobos shopping cart on the ground
Legit. But aircraft are designed for aerodynamics, not going to the drive thru at Taco Bell.
Beautiful!
Love the videos. Just found you because your ewr video was recommended and this looks awesome. Keep them comin!
Did you go from Republic to Atlas?
Yes
@@airplanejunkie8409 Awesome! You should be in the majors in no time now
@@eddiev737 Atlas is a Major airline. One of the biggest cargo operators in the world.
@@sawyerg7072 it’s a stepping stone airline
@@jasonthomas9364 Nope, it’s a major airline.
No flow until cleared of runway my friend !
Wow, I liked the taxiway driving. Seemed fairly rapid. Because it's a smaller jet? Airport rules on speed? Late to the gate? Or I just didn't see it properly because it's a video? Anyway, I'll ride with you guys anytime. :)
Looks like normal taxi speed to me
Nice landing but you’re really fighting with the yoke. If I can offer a word of advice as long as you’ve got it trimmed up, she’ll pretty much fly herself. It‘s not a carrier landing;)). But good job all the same.
You fly the 175 too?
You've obviously never landed an airliner in gusty conditions. Even when it's trimmed, you still have to fly it.
@@Ryan-zc1tz Believe me, after 40 years of flying experience with heavy jet, I think I know what I‘m talking about.
@@saxmanb777 I‘ve been type rated on the C-130, 707,737, 757, 767, A300 and A340-600. And if you want to land in gutsy conditions try it in the A340-600 sometime.

NaVI S Fly the plane* Gotta have training first
Pretty boy one handed was he doing his buddy with the other hand 😂😂😂😂😂 seemed care about him looking slick instead of safe
@Jason Knox Yes, but that wouldn't have made a funny joke for the OP and the rest of his peers who are all likely closeted and still think dick and fart jokes are the pinnacle of comedy. I wonder how many times he has been told, "Son, you are going to go far in life, I can just tell."
Hmm, you may be onto something there, genius. But humour me for a moment, then look at the video again. Where else might a pilot's hand go besides the yoke when landing, besides on the Captain's cock? Do you think it might be wise to be prepared to make adjustments to engine power when landing, especially when it's windy? Are you sure he's just trying to look slick with only one hand on the yoke and that he does not need it for something else related to flying the plane safely? My eyes, they just roll.
His left hand is on the throttles you knob. Your stupidity is amazing.
Y does it have a soviet 1963 yoke ?
Embraer style yoke. What do you think it's supposed to look like?
Do you mean Topulev?
@@as-guardianangel9360 tupolev
@@as-guardianangel9360 Nope, Embraer. Google Embraer ram horn. It's a characteristic quirk of the manufacturer.
Fuck man u touched down at the last end of the td zone
without the electronics these guys would be at a total loss. Scary
False and not scary. Pilots have been navigating the globe for decades before the advancement of the electronics you see in this video.
And without a brain, you’d be a total loss. Then again, I’m not detecting one on you.
Without your smartphone you would be at a total loss. Scary
Lol what
Flair, flair, like you just don’t care!!
Woooooooooooooooo
Brilliant flying skills
I realise it is a little gusty, but there so many unneccessary movements on the yoke. One over correction followed by another over correction of the over-correction! Until you get close to the runway, it is better to follow the trend, rather than making corrections for every slight deviation.
@@acbulgin2 U took ur CFI checkride at a Flight Service Station??? Who'd u take it with, a briefer???

As a professional pilot myself, I would NEVER make public ANY cockpit video of ANY PILOT flying, especially yourself. You are legit asking for trouble. Oh, you can also kiss goodbye any chance of being hired by a legacy. Control your fucking ego, and make this video private. Also, the touchdown zone exists for a reason. I recommend touching down inside of it. 👍 Douche.
