He told this story at their live performance a couple nights ago in Santa Ana at The Observatory where that very same Japanese hardcore (more like post hardcore/post rock) band opened up for them. I had listened to Envy a few times and liked them, but their live performance had quite an impact on me as well. So much so that I bought their record and got it signed by them. I stuck around a bit and got my Rooms of the House record signed by La Dispute as well; Jordan was wearing a Swans - Filth shirt which was cool. I always feel like theirs this subtle, yet profound connection between people with similar taste in art.

I own nearly every envy album and have watched many interviews.....none of which any of the members spoke a word of english (always had a translator). As for the song titles....merely translated for western audiences
