Hello and welcome to my first video in my Shepherd Hut build series. I will separate the videos into the main aspects of the build for you to follow along. I started with the floor cause making a floating roof would be have been difficult. I hope you enjoy the video!

Hi Ed, what’s the nominal width of the frame for a shepherd’s hut, to accommodate the normal rolled sheet roof?
Whatever happened to 4 ?
Haven't edited it yet
Hi eddie , can you tell me what the blue plunging tool is called ? Thanks in advance
Its a biscuit jointer
The build is nice but I can’t stand the music!
Did you bend the corrugated sheets or find them that way?
Found them, they are off an old grain bin but there are companies that bend them
Wonderful build. Well done.
Can you please help. Where did you buy the metal sheets? Did they bend them for you? What is the size of timber you use for long central beam and other beams for arch roof rafters?
The sheets are off an old grain bin and the long beams are pine 2x4's. I made the arches with 2 layers of 18mm plywood
This episode is from November 2021. Did you ever finish building the Shepherd's hut? How did they pull those huts? They look heavy and awkward.
Underrated channel is underrated. You need more views and subs.
So what is the floor dimensions….?
Great Eddie, but interior insulation etc? Would love to see. Hope it doesn’t but did your floor boards have a high moisture content when laying? Shrinkage as it dries will just cause gaps but if it was 16 to 18 % you could find it expanding, compromising your end wall rebate junction. Hope its okay. A winter would prove it one eay or other if you didn't take moisture readings. Good luck
Hi Eddie, are there any more videos or is it only the 3 on the shepherds hut. Would love to have seen how you tackled the doors, windows and interior??? Regards david
Thanks David. I haven't got round to editing the footage yet. Maybe one day
@@eddiegoldsack4339 oh that’s a shame there’s a lot of interested people out there awaiting good informative videos just like yours. If you want to send what you’ve got in the way of vids or pics I for one would be interested in seeing them. Regards David
Fantastic easy to follow video. The best I’ve seen yet filmed by a non manufacturer. Loved your thought process and how you installed without any huge expensive machines. Great work
and thats why I can't find any Scaff Boards cheap anymore... Great thanks :)
Hi Eddie , I crappie at using a router!but you have inspired me to try again.
Loving your hard work the floor looks amazing 👏
Is there no ep 4
Not yet
very nice buttons. would you recommend using a dowel or branch where the grain runs from tailstock to chuck? asking because the blank for buttons has a weird grain direction in this video and I'm concerned about chipout.
No, it would snap in no time. The grain would be about 3mm long
Wood name?
Oak
Great Reggae....
Hey. I noticed you stopped uploading. I was highly intrigued by this build and would like to see more
Whens the next video Eddie ? Keep up the good work
Oh boy, your guess is as good as mine
Fair play Eddie, keep them coming,
I've loved watching your series, can't wait for the next one! Keep up the good work :)
looking forward to the next episode! keep it up!
Great video and work Eddie, nice to see this hut coming along. look forward to the next video.
Not going to be a next video He's still looking for a lefthanded hammer
Love the videos looking forward to the next episode 👍🏻
Nice to see this hut coming along sir, Its looking really smart!
Brilliant. Looks fantastic. Regards Paul
Great video Eddie, I am going to be building a couple of these when I move out to France next year so your advice and knowledge is very useful, thanks for sharing. I couldn't get the best roof build idea in my head, but you have given me the way so thanks especially for that too, good luck with the rest and will be following your journey
Oh excellent!! I did so much research to what I thought would be best, thankyou for your kind words Dean
That's beautiful. It's difficult to find bigger buttons at shops and online too sometimes
Are you doing anymore videos?
Yes dont worry I'm editing the next one
Great work and good idea to mortise/tenon and lap joint it all together for greater strength. It’s starting to look good and is an interesting build. Regards Paul
Thanks Paul, yeah it was a lot more work than to just nail them but I think it was worth it them only being 45²mm. Glued and screws with L brackets
when hut is complete... how do you tow it to the site and using what to tow it. ?
A few weeks away still, pulling it with a tractor, hasn't got far to go
@@eddiegoldsack4339 great. Good luck
Great video thanks for posting. Can I ask where you got the chassis from? Looking forward to the roof video 👍
Lots of people have asked that aha, I made it from scratch but sadly didnt film the process
quality!
nice one dude keep up the good videos! and sheep banter 👍⭐️
Great work, really interesting. what made you decide to go with mortise and tenon and lap joints instead of only nails and screws
I thought it would be stronger them only being 45mm square, it was a lot of extra work though
Nice one bro! great Camera work and perfect frame construction :)
That's quite heavy concidering. The tyres are super cheap, but very light. The wheelset is about 500grams heavier than a highend set so the lightest your going to get this splashing out big bucks is close to the 9kg mark. Compare that to a tiagra giant defy which is 9kgs with 400g tyres instead of the 200g tyres on this bike and a heavy stock wheelset and you can see how easy that would be to shave a conciderable amount of weight off with a small upgrade. They need to drop the SL
I have a medium, rim brake, Level 5 bars and Scribe 38 wheels - weight is 8kg
gurt lush <3
That's my guy ready there
This is totally rad bruuu!
What was you anticipated delivery date when you order it?
Mid February so it came super early
Hi how do you find this bike?
Really nice ride, I'll be doing a review in a couple of weeks, so look out for that
@@eddiegoldsack4339 get it up 👍
Great bike! I'm making my mind up about colours etc. I notice that the top of the down tube is not black, likewise the inside of the chain stays? I didn't notice this in the custom paint options? Can you let us know what colour choice your bike is? Is the finish gloss? Hope you enjoy your upcoming rides! [Jealous!!]
This is one of the 3 standard colours, I didnt go for the custom colours, I couldnt justify it. Yeah it's a gloss finish. Yeah only put 100 or so miles on it, feels great 👍
@@eddiegoldsack4339Thanks! Looking forward to your review! (Looks like a bit of a wait to get one as they're having to be 'pre-ordered' for some frame sizes now...)
It says on the rubble website around 8kg for small is it 8.95 or 7.95kg because you said 8.95 just clarifying because I am looking into getting one
mine is 8.95 they might have had different components on when they weighted it
@@eddiegoldsack4339 I bet they weighted it without pedals ;)
Looks great, I'm close to purchasing one myself, how is the fit? You said you bought a small, how tall are you if you don't mind me asking? Enjoy!
Ahh great! Just in time for the summer! The fit is good, I debated a lot whether to get the XS but there isn't too much in it. I'm 5'4".
I ordered xs I’m 5’4”
Hello Eddie , it is an excellent and lovely . God bless you Yacov Kashi from Israel
