@@durtydeedsREI Ok, there are several variables here . If you are staying at a Disney resort hotel, you can actually get into the park a half hour early. If you are not staying in a Disney hotel, you can still rope drop Adventureland or Frontierland, which doesn’t open early for resort guests. It opens at park open time. This also depends on if you want to enter super early before park open to rope drop a ride. They usually start scanning people in at least 30 minutes before the park actually opens. The individual lands won’t be open but Main Street will be. You can get photos, grab a coffee, or wait in line for one of the four different lands - fantasyland, tomorrowland, frontierland, and adventureland. If you are wanting to get in line for a particular area of the park to be the first to ride, I recommend getting to the parking lot at least an hour before park open if not and hour and a half. I love empty parks and low crowds, so I love getting there early. If you arrive early, you’ll park closer to the transportation and ticket center, but you still will need to go through security, wait in line for the monorail or the ferry, and wait to scan into the park. An hour before whatever time you are wanting to get in is usually sufficient. So for a 9am opening time, you should be good if you arrive in the parking lot at 8am. Hope that helps! (To clarify, it doesn’t take an hour to get from the parking lot to the gate of the park, but generally speaking I like to have cushion for the unexpected and just so I don’t feel rushed or stressed.😉)

@@drewwise5966 yes! Totally agree! Gotta love the monorail hotels! My fave hotel experiences were staying at the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian for the easy access to Mk and Epcot. Second to that was staying at the Beach Club and Swan and Dolphin for the easy access to HS & Epcot. But skyliner hotels are next in line when it comes to location and convenience. I put them in 3rd place. 😉

@@bradjones4546 not a stupid question at all. You can get to the parks via the buses at Disney Springs, but those buses don’t run as early as the resort buses.

Surprisingly it was! We didn't wake up at the crack of dawn, but did quite a bit. We were up late, but it at least wasn't rope drop to fireworks. More manageable for the fam.

The shield is a spray I use for spf protection and it helps with frizz (that one is not a mousse), but I also use their mousse and love it. I usually shop with them online.

@@anthonyybarra8751 I know there is crime in any city, but I didn’t feel unsafe in that area. Perhaps it’s because the hotel itself feels a bit secluded from everything even though it’s right in the middle of everything. There are high walls around the pool that block the view of the street, and the parking area for the hotel is very close to the hotel and not on a busy street making it feel a little more private in that way. We didn’t walk anywhere around the area. We only drove our car around, but I don’t remember feeling unsafe in any way. I know that’s not a perfect answer for you, but I hope it helps nonetheless.
