From my study of Rebecca, I believe she recognized something in Jacob that would ultimately glorify God and used her influence as a mother to propel him into God's will for him. If you read about Jacobs dream, you will see it was in God's plan. His brother Esau had a carnal nature and wasn't the man for the job. Que sera sera

Thanks for your video. I think about the different ways Christians are persecuted now - seems to me like a lot of it is on social media. I always hesitate before posting something in line with my beliefs - out of fear of responses, "persecution," losing friends, etc. It's a difficult (and scary time), in my opinion, to be a Christian, especially a "public" Christian. Loved your reflections and reminder to feel blessed when persecuted. .... and. ... onto your message about God rewarding obedience... YES YES YES YES YES. Since I've started my online devotional, I've seen God do neat things - if I described them, they'd sound silly to anyone else - but to me, they are so COOL. Reminder of God's obedience to us. Please keep making videos! Looking forward to what else you create. Rock on!
