Nice practical review of the tool. I've ordered one for hiking, camping and mountain biking. Should be a good addition. One thing with the saw; You really have to make sure you hold the wood steady because as soon as it moves, the blade will bind. Might be best to stand over it with your foot on it and free hand on the other end so the wood is held in two places. I saw a video where they sawed through a log about 75-100mm (3-4") in diameter. But yeah, it'll never compete with a proper saw. Maybe useful to make a splint or a stake?

It's a (full) flat grind, not a convex. I prefer scandi grind knives for woodwork. But I love the Patriot as my secondary knife for all other cutting tasks and food prep.

Luxe Outdoors is the manufacturer of the tent, Luxe Hiking Gear was the US reseller - and they got the line pulled by Luxe Outdoors a long time ago because they were flat scamming people. Also that's not a "Luxe" stove - Luxe Hiking Gear was buying it from a company called Wild Wild West. Damper is a piece of crap which is why no one sells it in the US anymore.

Pretty nice looking knife I love d2 especially since it’s now a budget steel and it’s just so good I remember when d2 was premium stuff One day maybe cpm s90v will be a budget steel and every third guy on UA-cam can talk smack on it like people do with d2 now but that just doesn’t change the facts People really need to talk less about steel and more about heat treat and geometry
