Awesome 💯💯💯
Woowww 😮. Very good 🔝
As someone who plans to go down this path as well, this was well said. But for me it’s more personal and about my emotions and experiences. I don’t know what else to say other than, liminal spaces are incredible.
thanks for turning me on to register - one of his paintings is now my wallpaper
and also awesome liminal pics!
Thanks daniel :D
Liminality is potential.
7:28 ayooo, huntsville mall sighting!!!!
11:10 The camera is the Canon EOS M6 (probably MK I, not MK II), not sure why this wasn't explicitly said in the vid.
I really really want to explore a liminal dream world (strictly all alone). I find myself going back to this desire when things get tough and I don't want to die but rather exist all alone, exploring dream-like liminal world that will never exist.
2:36 HUGE W for the RE7 safe room music, such a banger
Very well shot and edited.
Between what was and what's next. Beautiful.
Do you live in PA? I live near Johnstown PA about two hours from Pittsburgh and I love liminal spaces and it’s photography
i cant believe that im watching this video while reaserching for my final thesis for college and listening to you talk about how this style inspired your artistry and final college thesis, kinda meta lol
this video is amazing, i see my current inspirations very much aligned with your experience from 2 year ago inside this aesthetic
@@anaflaviarg love to hear it! hope your project will be throughly fulfilling
@@byDanielFelix thanks! it is already
TCNJ?
This... was beautiful
Man these images make me want to spend time in completely empty places at night but I’m too afraid of getting murdered 😔
How were you able to gain access I have wanted to visit for a long time
Not sure I can answer this without incriminating myself. Stay safe.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Been a bit fascinated by liminal spaces recently, and this might be my favourite video on the subject so far. I have to say I was really impressed with your photos. I thought some were beautiful. I was a bit gutted that you got kicked out of those dead malls - would love to see what you could have captured there! I think you nailed the definition of liminal space, as well. Sums it up succinctly to me. Glad you found something you're passionate about. Keep up the good work.
I just NEED more content like this
You'd think he was writing home from Vietnam.
I am currently writing a research paper on Liminal Spaces photography etc., and I think that this is the most helpful mental information I could every receive on such a subject.
My grandfather died from TB there in the 50s.
What camera was used to shoot the photos again?
I'm surprised that you only have 3 videos. And two of them don't have many views, I'm the 100th like because honestly, you need more attention.
Such a amazing work
why is there Coca Cola advertising in Edward hopper nighthawks??
Wonderful essay … beautiful photographs. I’ve tried this concept here in the UK, having been hugely influenced by Hopper. I think here, on our tiny, cramped ‘building site’ of an island, it is becoming an immensely challenging genre. Your video however has made me think, I should maybe try again. Can I ask what focal length you generally used? Thanks … great work! 😊
Great work! This is one of the best liminal spaces videos I've ever seen
Thank you sooo much!
Hey, this looks super cool! I love the concepts of liminal spaces but before I watch the video I wanted to ask-- Is there any chance you could add captions to the video to make it more accessible to Deaf/Hard of Hearing audiences?
Thanks so much!! I actually watched the video through when I first uploaded it with the auto-generated captions and they were perfect. They should still work, they picked up every word when I checked last :)
Your definition has helped me tremendously. Thank you
This is art
This is insanely well done, and so under-rated
This is, so well done.
had to rewatch. I love these liminal video essays. I rewatch them every few months almost ritualistically LOL
No way at 1:09 hes driving by holding the middle steering wheel. Cant take this dude seriously doing that shit wtf 💀
I feel like I’ve see Tod Hido referenced sooo much since Jamie Windsor’s video
I'm glad Todd Hido is finally getting the recognition he deserves, I studied him many years ago in school and he had a huge impact on my work. Not sure who Jamie Windsor is but I'll check out his video!
I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this channel so early in your career, your video format is absolutely beautiful and your choices of composition are stellar. I've been studying liminal spaces for what feels like ages now, and eventually I hit an impasse. But you've inspired me to keep the search alive and find the reasons behind why liminal spaces affect us the way they do.
I've seen this video and Solar Sand's several times and I'm just fascinated everytime I see them. But yours def is inspiring me into taking up photography. I'm gonna do it. Thank you for serving as inspiration into this step I'm about to take.
I love this video
the photos u took r amazing!
something tells me if i never moved my childhood wouldve still felt like a dream
Ngl I thought this was gonna be a cringy video at first but it turned out to be way better than I expected
The video is still as good as i remember it.
holy dude I’m like 2 minutes in and this already feels like it’s got more detail than a Netflix documentary… you definitely deserve more subs and attention
this video seriously moved me to tears. liminal spaces have been pretty close to me for a long time since the movement started because it evoked a sense of nostalgia and memories i didn't know existed. your video explained it perfectly and i think you deserve so much more. i hope you and this beautiful art goes further in the future.
very well done
Most random question; but, What font did you use?
such a valid question lol, I imagine you meant "font". I used Montserrat for this whole project, it's one of my go-to sans serifs
@@byDanielFelix Thanks! Autocorrect thinks “font” is “don’t.”
This is truly beautiful !!! Words can’t express what I felt while watching. One thing I’m sure of is that this video made me want to start liminal photography.
best compliment I can receive. hope to see some of your photos one day!
