It has been narrated on the authority of 'Auf b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The best of your rulers are those whom you love and who love you, who invoke God's blessings upon you and you invoke His blessings upon them. And the worst of your rulers are those whom you hate and who hate you and whom you curse and who curse you. It was asked (by those present): Shouldn't we overthrow them with the help of the sword? He said: No, as long as they establish prayer among you. If you then find anything detestable in them. You should hate their administration, but do not withdraw yourselves from their obedience. [Sahih Muslim 1855a]
It has been narrated on the authority of Umm Salama that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: In the near future there will be Amirs and you will like their good deeds and dislike their bad deeds. One who sees through their bad deeds (and tries to prevent their repetition by his hand or through his speech), is absolved from blame, but one who hates their bad deeds (in the heart of his heart, being unable to prevent their recurrence by his hand or his tongue), is (also) safe ( so far as God's wrath is concerned). But one who approves of their bad deeds and imitates them is spiritually ruined. People asked (the Holy Prophet): Shouldn't we fight against them? He replied: No, as long as they say their prayers. [Sahih Muslim 1854a]
It has been narrated (through a different chain of transmitters) on the authority of Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upoh him) said: One who dislikes a thing done by his Amir should be patient over it, for anyone from the people who withdraws (his obedience) from the government, even to the extent of a handspan and died in that conditions, would die the death of one belonging to the days of jahilliyya. [Sahih Muslim 1849b]
It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that the messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: One who found in his Amir something which he disliked should hold his patience, for one who separated from the main body of the Muslims even to the extent of a handspan and then he died would die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahiliyya. [Sahih Muslim 1849a]
It his been narrated through a different chain of transmitters, on the authority of Hudhaifa b. al-Yaman who said: Messenger of Allah, no doubt, we had an evil time (i. e. the days of Jahiliyya or ignorance) and God brought us a good time (i. e. Islamic period) through which we are now living. Will there be a bad time after this good time? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. I said: Will there be a good time after this bad time? He said: Yes. I said: Will there be a bad time after good time? He said: Yes. I said: How? Whereupon he said: There will be leaders who will not be led by my guidance and who will not adopt my ways? There will be among them men who will have the hearts of devils in the bodies of human beings. I said: What should I do. Messenger of Allah, if I (happen) to live in that time? He replied: You will listen to the Amir and carry out his orders; even if your back is flogged and your wealth is snatched, you should listen and obey. [Sahih Muslim 1847b]
It has been narrated on the authority of 'Arfaja who said: I have heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Different evils will make their appearance in the near future. Anyone who tries to disrupt the affairs of this Umma while they are united you should strike him with the sword whoever he be. [Sahih Muslim 1852a]
Alhamdulillah
Abu Bakr RA forbade the ummah from having two Amirs. All the classical scholars are in agreement. So the system we have which is secularism, nationalism, multiple leaders etc. is kufr already. Applying hadith for an Amir of the ummah to the nationalistic secularistic tyrants is shameful.
Assalamualaikum Brother, can you share information on what obligations does one have to complete before going to Hajj? For example a lot of brothers today have Home Loans. What is the ruling for them?
Kings are not a Muslim rulers. They are all political rulers. We only obey Allah. Quran is the Guidance over Ever-thing. Khalifa is the one we suppose to obey. There is no Khalifa and there is no Muslim rulers either. If there was any they would have establish a khalifa.Saudi regime and Zionist regime fund division among umma. Don’t listen to these paid so called scholars. Allah gave us Quran and prophet (pbuh) preached it. So read Quran and understand it. No one will be able to divide you from Umma. Not even these paid so called scholars.
The Messenger of Allāh (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) said: “The handholds of Islām will be demolished one by one, and every time one of them is demolished, the people will hold on tightly to the one that follows it. The first one to be demolished is the rule (al-hukum) and the last of them will be the prayer.” [Imām Ahmad (5/251), Ibn Hibbān (6715), with a good chain of narration]
Ibn Taymiyyah (died 728H) stated: “Ahmad [bin Hanbal] and his like did not declare these rulers to be disbelievers. Rather he believed them to have Imaan and believed in their leadership and he supplicated for them, and he was of the view that they were to be followed in the prayers and Hajj, and military expeditions were to be made with them. He prohibited rebellion against them - and it (i.e. rebellion) was never seen from the likes of him from amongst the scholars. Yet he still opposed whatever they innovated of false statements, since that was major disbelief, even if they did not know it. He would oppose it and strive to refute it with whatever was possible. So there must be a combination of obeying Allāh and His Messenger in manifesting the Sunnah and Religion and opposing the innovations of the heretical Jahmites, and between protecting the rights of the believers, the rulers and the Ummah, even if they are ignorant innovators and transgressing sinners.” [Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā, 7/507-508]
Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728H) stated: “There have not been a people who revolted against their ruler except that their condition after their rebellion was worse than before they rebelled.” (Minhāj As-Sunnah 3/231)
Shaikh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah’s mercy be upon him) said: “Being patient with the tyranny of the rulers is a fundamental principle (asl) from the fundamentals of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā’ah.” (Majmoo’ Al-Fatāwa 28/179)
Muslim also reported (1059) from Anas Ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) stated: “You will see after me severe preferential treatment (to those less deserving than you), so be patient until you meet Allah and you meet His Messenger at the drinking lake (Al-Hawd).” So they responded, “We shall be patient.”
Muslim reported in his Sahīh (1836) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “You are obligated to listen to the ruler and obey him in times of ease and in times of hardship, whether you are pleased or displeased and even when another person is given preference over you (while you were more deserving).”
Bukhāri (7054) and Muslim (1849) reported from Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever sees from his leader something that he dislikes, then let him be patient with him because whosoever separates from the jamā’ah (i.e. the body of Muslims in a country) even by a handspan, and then dies in that condition, he will die the death of pre-Islamic ignorance (jāhiliyyah).”
Muslim reported in his Sahīh (1847) from Wā’il Ibn Hujr that: Salamah Ibn Yazeed Al-Ju’fee asked Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ): “O Prophet of Allah, what do we do if we have rulers over us who demand their rights yet they withhold our rights?” He replied: “Listen to them and obey them [regardless]. Upon them is their burden and on you will be your burden.”
For those brothers and sisters who do not understand Arabic or Islam well, let me summarize this lecture: According to Islam, you are supposed to follow the ruler. It does not matter if America or Israil annointed the leader, you just have to follow. This will keep you safe (otherwise MBS will do bad things to you) and so you can pray and live in peace and go to jannah. See how beautiful Islam is, MashaAllah!
جزاك الله خيرا شيخ
This is false and wouldn’t take anything from Ulama that defends thugs that serve the interests of Kuffars.
Jazakallah khayran for the lecture.. It was clear and beneficial Alhamdulilah..
Bit of a pointless talk since there is no Muslim rulers in this day and age.
Show me a Muslim ruler who applies the Sharia of Allah and I will obey him.
Masha Allah very beneficial & clear .. one should listen the complete lecture.. People should read the history & taken lesson from it..
A much needed lecture. JazakAllaahu Khairan. Unfortunately, when this topic is presented to many of the muslims, as to what a person is asked when it comes to obeying the Muslim ruler in the lights of Quran and Sunnah, they simply reject it and follow their emotions and desires, which is nothing but a sad reality. If one says that he is a follower of Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam, then he should follow him in every aapect of his life, and not just pick and choose what he likes.
The lecture is crystal clear. The proofs have been established. The one who wishes to follow the Prophet, may Allah grant him steadfastness. As for the one who follows his desires and fancies, may Allah guide him.
Ppl who are commenting are clearly doing so seeing the topic of the lecture 🙂 Please watch the video to understand what the speaker is actually talking about.
As a Canadian citizen, I can do the following things safely and securely: Praying Salah in Jamah, fasting, going Hajj, admit my children to an Islamic school, learn Quran and Arabic in Masjid/school/online etc. How is Kuwait or any other Muslim/non-Muslim countries are different? These people do not make sense if you consider Quran, Hadith and history. Why did we have Khilifa of Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman and Ali? We know these so called scholars are not preaching Quran and Sunnah.
Should the hands go back on chest after rukhoo ?
He should obey his beard trimmer….
What does that even mean?
Obedience to the Islamic Ruler is obliged. Some people confuse Kings, Presidents and Generals for being Khulafah. As if the conditions and requirements or the mere (Shar') definition are the same. Which is false. Then they take agents serving foreign interests as muslim "rulers" or they take those who run to immitate the west in Deen, legislation and culture as muslim "rulers" or they take those who actively fight against Islam (as a complete way of life) and replace it by their whims and desires as muslim "rulers". The condition is not just that a man is Muslim, rather amongst other things the bayah is given over the implementation of the Deen. These regimes we see are the shadow of (neo) colonialism. And the illegal zionist occupation entity is the shadow of these rulers, they serve as the true IDF, remove them and the zionist shadow will disappear.
Very beneficial And clear lecture Some people just dont understand the lecture. May Allah guide us all
Subhan Allah the lecture was clear that we should obey the Muslim ruler in the lawful things but if he ordered us to do haram , we should not obey him. Who agreed with ibn hazm in his opinion which is contradicting the other hadeeth
Can we obey the ruler who is disobedient to Allah?😮
Yes. The ahadeeth are clear on this.
yes, if you are wahabi everything is halal
@@antichamcha6544 the prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam spoke about this matter. Fear Allah. It has nothing to do with being a "wahabi". Unless you're a hadith rejector or rafidi?
@@muxishine Yes Allah swt and the prophet pbuh seemed to care so much about the ruler who is disobedient to Allah, they made sure these rulers are able to rule comfortably. Also, your hadith always make sure that you do absolutely nothing in the face of cruelty against other Muslims, but you are obsessed with Rafidi and other Muslims. Is this a coincidence or are you a zyonist salafi?
The speaker here is either lying or ignorant about the scholars' statements. Ibn Hazm explained the Hadith about the leader beating people and taking their wealth only if the person is wrong in what he did and that it is not permitted for anybody to take your wealth or beat you if you can defend yourself. I'll post it here in Arabic.
"Muslim" rulers, where are they. He should fear Allah swt and not call those rulers muslims.
In my country sometimes we get Qadiani and Shia or women ruler. Im i supposed to follow them? 😂
only paid cheickh talking about obeying ruler. had mohamed obeyed ruler of quraisch there will be no islam today. how can i obey a ruler who forbid palestinian protest??????
It’s about the Muslim ruler.
@@Abduboy13th muslim is not a name muslim is following the quran and mohamed, tell me when did mohamed cooporate with ennemies knowing that they are killing and spoiling other muslim territories???? when aboubakr did it???? when oumar did it ???
@@saibouaboubakar9888 I think you should read about the hudaibiyah treaty that the prophet did with the polytheists which was for 10 years. The treaty would make the ruler turn in the Muslims who migrated from Mekka to Madina, back to the polytheists and they would be tortured. The treaty was made for a greater maslaha.
see now it's not fair, you are asking thoughtful question. The wahabi sheikh is saying don't bother to think, just follow the ruler and everything will be okay. Make your stomach and your genitals your priority
Notice how all the Wahabies Madhkalies just talk about bid`ah all time.
Ya Sheikh, should Palestinians in Gaza obey Hamas? Should Turkish people obey Erdogan? Should Iranians obey their regime? Should Yemenis living under Houthis obey their ruler? Yalla, go ahead.
I am sorry to say most of the sheikhs are on Saudi or Kuwaiti kings' payroll
You don’t have to be sorry because your opinion is worthless to those who follow the Quran and Sunnah. I would rather the Hadith of the prophet rather than your Hadith.
I am confused, Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal called against Khalifa Mamun, why cant we disobeyed the US bootlicker Saudi crown prince and his cronies for not supporting Palestine while allowing food to be transferred through Kingdom to Zionist Israel
