Hi, as far as I know all Volvo oils are made by Castrol. If you want to save some money use the Castrol oil :-) Please double check the part numbers or use the Castrol oil finder on their website.

The manual was included in the box of my screen, printed on paper. I do not know if there is a downloadable version available, sorry.

You mean AUX OUT as audio Input for the car, right? :-) The only option you might have here is to use the FM transmitter functionality or by using some Bluetooth connection or maybe an SD card or USB stick. But this is untested, as I was looking for a better device with more functionality. My advice for you is to look for a better device with more connection options as well.

Is it possible and an option to deactivate the screen saver completely to prevent this behaviour?

@@autotechchannel Unfortunately not. While using the system, the program freezes and stays on this black screen similar to a "screen saver" mode, but in reality it is a crash because even pressing on the screen does not return to the normal state, just removing it from the cigarette lighter. Another problem is that sometimes during use the FM synthesizer opens by itself, and even clicking on "home" it no longer connects to carplay, also requiring the 12v to be removed. It's a lot of daily stress with this multimedia.

I am glad i can help you. There are camera modules available for only 80€ on AliExpress. Try to check the part numbers there. It's only 10% of the retail price compared to the original part.

The aux connection is for sending audio to your car in case you have an audio input jack.

I would have loved to help, but I gave away my device. Can you summarise in a few words how you did the dump of the firmware?

@@autotechchannel Thank you for being ready to help. I did not. Firmware is some sort of Linux, probably accessible if you connect the device through USB cable. I barely pulled the config.ini file to a microSD card, modified the settings and imported the file back. It made the device inoperable, neither radio broadcast nor cable/BT connection don't work. Unfortunately was dumb enough to not make a copy 8-(

Is the settings menu still functional? Have you tried to do a factory reset?

@@autotechchannel Yup, the menu is functional, but what factory reset does is revert any custom settings I had made through the UI to the state from the ini file. I'll try changing the settings one by one to see if it makes any difference, their names are not overly meaningful, not to mention any description anywhere on the net.

These transmissions have no cleanable or replaceable filters, at least the Volvo variants as far as I know.

To replace filter you have to disassemble the gearbox.

No, there is only a suction cup inside the box. You have to get additional mounting clips or brackets yourself.

Hi, I feel exactly the same way. There was an option to turn off the boot logo on startup completely inside the developer options I think. Due to the sloppy translation the label inside the menu might be a bit confusing. I only checked for these options when using english language. It would be great to have a firmware image that could be customised in some way, but there is no update or firmware image available unfortunately.

I am not exactly sure what you mean :-) The system shuts down completely on ignition state off. The audio signal is off at that point. Upon next start the audio level will remain at the level it had before the shutdown. Does this help you out?
