Great video and channel I’ll definitely subscribe!
Good information fella, thanks for sharing.
@@scottwood135 cheers mate!
Me again, casting metals from the shore. I'm happy for them to drop but always (esp around plymouth) feel and snag is more likely than not but i know thats somwtimes where the better fish are. Do you think sink rates should be a thing for lures for the future?
Yeah definitely, to some extent we already have a few things in the market, major craft for example is constantly updating there range of metals and have started bringing out tungsten jigs which are much denser and therefore smaller then the conventional lead allowing them to sink a little bit faster as less water resistance.. on the other hand a conventional “spoon” like a abu tobey are designed to be worked quickly along the surface being made of stainless steel often much lighter and wider profile so they don’t sink as fast. Always look at the wind, tide and typography and depth of the ground I’m fishing over before deciding what metals to throw would argue sink rates more important then the color on metals, very underrated across both salt and freshwater applications and something I’m sure will have a lot of pioneering on in the future especially from Japan..
Always keep my eyes peeled. Best one I've had was a mint weedless white sandy andy but the patch trumps all. I'll be out and about after this weather for sure.
Great isn’t it! You find that Westin up Kingsbridge estuary by any chance 🤣
@Ocean_City_lure_Angler 🤣🤣 Nah it was by the broken wall bit at millbay. It was karma for me losing a gravity stick at wembury a week later.
Good for you man, cleaning the environment and getting some free gear too
mate as a fellow youth angler how do you get to your spots?
absolutely crazy. it was like this in ullapool harbour in scotland- it was like fishing in an aquarium but i had a load of decent pollock and a codling
lovely. cleans the soul
lure fishing still good down there this time of year?
Well done buddy. Regards from Cornwall.
Where in uk was this

Awesome
Crazy
where is this mark
@@floxwood3958 miles away bud best kept secret it’s a special place
This is funky! Love it!
Nice haul! Temu has some very cheap but quality gear, ( most things are made from China)
Class finds Tom!
What tide do you fish?
Tend to prefer the flood but doesn’t make a huge difference
@@Ocean_City_lure_Angler fishing works during low tide too??
@@hyeonjunkang2051 Yeahh all depends on the spot
Planning to head down to Plymouth in a few days for a holiday. Any recommendations for lure fishing? Such as spots etc for mackerel bass and pollock? Cheers
@@hyeonjunkang2051 just have a wonder along the sea front and see what’s about mill bay/ elphinstone/ west hoe all hold bass atm
thats good to hear hows the mackerel fishing like down there atm?@Ocean_City_lure_Angler
@@floxwood3958 shocking!!! Not many around at all
not worth targettinf at all them im assuming? Planning to go down in 2 weeks or so. anything i should be targettinf to maximise my catchung chsnces whether or lure or baitn@Ocean_City_lure_Angler
@@floxwood3958 been the worst year I’ve known it for fishing down here, you’ll definitely bag up dropping small baits down the rocks at mt battern breakwater there’s a steady stream off bass patrol if up and down the sea front and there are mackerel about just very thin on the ground
Would love to see more of these types of videos, setting up rods ect 👍
Will do mate 🎣🎣
Where is this buddy?
What country are you fishing from and what lure did you use?

Nice fishing 🎣👍
Quality little video ❤ dropped you a sub from jersey
Nice bass
Cheers mate!
I'm off to the Tiverton canal after watching that
You’ll have to wait till next season got the lot out the other week 😆
Something is missing in your lure box 👀
Chappy, salt skimmer iborn!! Got tons to add
Great info Tom as always 🎣👍
Glad you enjoyed it mate

Thanks a lot for this video! Do you have any tips for fishing this canal please?
Got another video on the canal on my channel where I give a few tips… just fish the smaller perch fish structure and always have your eyes on the water, best perch will come in summer when there feeding up its a ridiculously tricky water to perch fish in winter especially with lures…
Nice work bro really enjoyed that, bringing back a lot of memories of fishing around there myself a few years back. Great fishing Tom 🎣
Glad you enjoyed it, lovely area and some big bass still around if your lucky! Thanks for watching mate
Always cool to see what’s in other parts of the country, nice one mate! 🎣
Cheers man appreciate it!!
Some great fish ! sadly only had the smaller ones on worm couple weeks back. After watching Im impressed with your results and eager to get out again soon.... Well done
Good one 👍😎
Nice one Tom hope to be up there soon myself
Looking forward to catching up soon mate!
Excellent video youngster. Top angling. Knowing your lures and marks really pay off.
Cheers mate!
Great vid man. Are ports the best for sea bass or can you get similar results from the shore?
All depends on the day, there is usually a consistent number in the ports and can almost always bank on one or two saving the blank whereas coasts are obviously much larger expanses so harder to fish
Awesome!
Great, well done mate, glad you know how to enjoy yourself! Reminds me of myself doing the same thing 50 years ago, but with Mepps bar spoons No.3/4 & ABU HiLo plugs, in the same places too!
Great sport isn’t it! Can’t wait to get back out soon in the colder months and find some 🎣🎣

Hi Tom, have you caught on the SB yet? not sure what colour to get the chrome looks good. I saw these lures used in the States and they swear by them. 🐟
@@grahamgerman3125had a few bass on it so far, bigger size would probably be more versatile especially when there’s abit of chop, I like the bone colour
Awesome! Can't believe I haven't watched it yet!
Great video …hope they picked that dog shit up !!
Is this the basin?
Smashing ladsss
Absolutely awesome 😊
