Only 1.41 as i can see on the webpage for icomamerica.

The NR does seem better but on mine too.

Wow not bad 👍 I don’t have that many DXCCs across all bands 😅 That said I am also limiting myself to phone only at the moment. Once I hit the limit of what I can achieve that way, I will come back to FT8 and the like. It’s an interesting mode but not as fun as getting them on voice.

Sounds like he’s using a tighter filter on the 7300 … you need to use a wider filter.. not a good comparison

Of course I’d expect a radio that’s four times as expensive to perform better but I think 99% of the audible difference in this video is just the speaker. Maybe you can connect an external speaker to both radios and have them output the same volume as well. I got the impression that the K4 sounded richer with the limited bandwidth, but I can’t really say with certainty whether it was the receiver or the speaker.

I think in this demo the K4D has better audio from it's speaker, especially on the weaker station. I will try to come up with a better way to do this.

As EI2IP says it is only the speaker sound you are comparing. But the sound from the K4 is far superior to the IC7300. It may be better to connect to an external speaker that is switchable to get a proper comparison.

Sorry a 900 euro radio v 4000 euro!!! You know you are only comparing the speakers 🔊

Did they update the NR with the new firmware? The release notes don’t mention anything, as far as I can tell.

I had a 101 zd , about 35 yrs ago , built like a tank , nice to see old equipment, I currently have. Ts140 S , that’s knocking on in yrs , could do with a Mr Wood service in the future, cheers Shane

Had this line for years. Fantastic setup. Only disadvantage was al lot of tuning and switching when I changed bands. Otherwise I was very happy with it. 👍
