ABSOLUTELY INSANE THIS IS SO SO GOOD!! this is so beautiful and makes the show look about a 1000 times better than it is. siege and storm is also my favorite book of the series so this is a TREAT!! (also people that prefer book 2 are just intellectuals and the others just don’t get it) this is absolutely mesmerizing from the first second. the vibe and atmosphere you two created is so true to the books and i’m obsessed with it. like i genuinely couldn’t take my eyes away. 1:31 “i do not seek him at all” AHHHH that was so well done like alina babes!! you very much do seek him. i’m absolutely obsessed with the aesthetics you two used. especially at that shot at 1:39 with blonde!alina entering the throne room and the crown!! and starting at 1:57 with “i would no longer deny it.” with blonde!alina and the crown, absolutely genius!! it’s what we should have gotten and it’s a crime we got that sad excuse of a second season instead of this. you two captured exactly what their relationship should have been and it’s so obvious that this was made by people who actually understand the relationship and the characters (the shadow and bone writers can’t relate). but for real, you two are so incredibly talented!! your editing was so seamless, it’s impossible to tell which parts are created by who! i can already tell that i’ll rewatch this about a 1000 times because it just!! keeps on hitting!! this simultaneously healed parts of me that were broken by that shit show while also breaking my heart for the potential what could have been. like this is what alarkling are. this is their relationship and vibe, not whatever the show has got going on.
