John unfortunately had turbo issues in his amazing RX8 2.5t. I was all wrapped up with my competition runs and figured he paid for a whopping 6 runs, he should get 6 runs! Tossed him the keys and his first run in the car ever and an evo in 14 years he threw down within 0.5sec of my best run. Epic, just epic!

This is what it came down to. Struggled most the event to adjust to concrete with the forward grip causing hop to come back pretty harshly. A couple changes for this East course and things were getting back to business. Also, nearly slid in to a cone right before last turn and ruined everything but with a wobble of the cone it was safe.

Practice for solo driving at Solo Nationals, doing it on my own without a codriver. Everything was great but the course really needed some aggressive driving. Did some tire pressure testing just to deviate from our baseline, Chantell and I both dropped nearly a full second just dropping back down to our baseline and massively preferred the feel. One thing, I REALLY need to give the coned a little bit more breathing room. Spending too much time going back and forth from narrower 295 street tires to the wider 315 hoosiers.

This course was properly fun to drive. Tricky bits you'd have to drive to understand but 3 bit fake braking zones required pucker factor to maximize. SSB Designs suspension setup is just rock solid. I have changed so much over 10 years in just figuring out this one car and its so good now.

Day 2 running Ginny, starting to get a better feel for what needs to be done to tame her. Shocks still leave something to be desired but its much more predictable in the dry.

Our runs sunday at Top Gun. Both Chantells and my quick runs from Saturday at the Top Gun event. We went 1-2 in SM and I sat at Top PAX for saturday by 0.1 sec to sit well to try and win overall for the weekend.

Last chance this season to test something, tried out 0.5deg more camber all around. It was not the best. Tires tell the tale, inside fronts got hammered! After Saturdays struggle with some testing and super gravely course, this was quite a bit better. This weekends testing was a camber change. It was mostly bust. Going back to old baseline plus maybe a little extra in the rear.

I apparently didnt record my fast right but this was as fast up till I got greedy. After the sweeper is a ridge and I pushed too hard then tried to over compensate. Once I saw it wasnt happening I saved my tires for another attempt. Strategy paid off and I cleaned it up for a big pickup getting 2nd in PAX overall.
