1. Reset your 5290. 2. Try with new cable (cable which is connected to your 5290) 3. If above doesn’t work visit good local repair shop and figure out on which end the problem is. 4. It also can be the software issue as the player is 4 year old model with no update and android is regularly updating.

There is no such best equalizer setting. Equaliser should pe set flat most of the time or it depends on your listening preferences which frequency you want to listen more or feel missing vice versa.

Value wise 5290 is better and if money is not concern 8550bt has upper hand. One more unit is launched dmh-a5650bt check that also.

Hello… If sound output and music is the only concern go for 5290bt or 555bt (bigger screen better touch) And if you want features go for android… with decent sound quality. Good android will also work for in-cabin sound but pioneer is step ahead. Choose a dealer who can provide you experience of both it will be easier for you to make decision.

If sound quality is the only criteria go for 5290 or want features with sound Dmh-a5450bt for bigger screen Af555bt. Sound and tonality pretty much same.

Hi… 1. To use stock USB port with 5290 a connector is available in market which cost around 100-200rs. 2. I’m using the mic which comes with 5290bt it works well gives clear sound to listeners. 3. Fm works better than stock clear and louder no signal breakage.

One last question, I run my front (Steg leo 650C) & Rear(JL audio c1 650C) components from the stock head unit(Bosch) through an Alpine amplifier bbx f1200. Although I am satisfied with the setup, the wiring that is done is not very reliable. Also since I am a keen listener , I find losing plenty of details in the mids and upper mids, hence the itch to upgrade. Now my question is if I get the pioneer HU, is it ok if I run the components directly from the HU through the factory speaker wire. Or should I keep the amplifier as well. Front speaker RMS is close to 60W and rear ones are around 75-80watts iirc. What will be your opinion on this ?

@suchinpati5601 If you run speaker directly on head unit output would be less and head unit cannot give the mentioned RMS on continue basics so you will miss the actual sound quality on long run or if played loud. And won’t be able to use some sound setting of pioneer head unit. As you have amplifier I suggest you to use that. Soon coming up with a new video on this topic.

@vishal_3105 I suggest you not to buy this online search it in local market or near by place. Can not find a reliable link for this.

I suggest you to confirm this from a dealer. As the head unit is bit bulky in comparison to android and integrated player.

Hi.. Kavan If sound quality is the only criteria 5290 is the best option or you can go for few Sony head units. Or for other features like android go for blaupunkt key largo, onkyo. If you can expend you budget to 25-27k Few very good options are available with latest feature and sound quality.

Pioneer 5290 is above all in sound quality. In case don’t want 5290 go for Sony AX-3000 or AX-5000 (for sound quality) If you want features blaupnkt key largo or Series 900. Whichever suits your budget.

The tonality is pretty much same and output is little higher in 5290bt but it’s negligible.

Yes it support steering mounted controls. Get it installed from a good shop they will provide you proper installation.
