I have found personally, rather than struggle and possibly make the job harder in the “30 second” long run is, instead of initially trying to remove the spigot in left-tread situations by fighting it loose is, put a small amount of right-hand tightening until it does even the slightest movement, then proceed with left-hand removal. Try it once, you can thank me later, and you will never not try this way again.

Hey man I'm a plumber in Texas, and I was just wondering: do y'all not primarily use blue monster Teflon; and do y'all only use tape OR dope instead of both? Main reason I ask is cause we use blue monster and do both in Texas. Just curious, no hate ❤️

They will scratch up those fasteners significantly less but are much faster than a traditional crescent wrench. Always, always double check your water shutuff before loosening anything, I've learned that lesson the hard way a few times myself. Good luck brother.
