I understand all the NY locations were recreated on sound stages in England, which is astounding. This is exactly what FAO Schwartz was like at Christmas in the late 90's. They must have sent an army of people to survey and photograph every inch. Even the customers are spot on.

I think the daughter is taken but I'm not sure it's permanent. I think they're starting the grooming with her...this is where her indoctrination/abuse starts. Notice that teddy bear in the shot right before they go to that corridor. He has a doll in his lap and he's smiling a scary smile. Besides the occult meaning behind the film that people debate over. Lets not talk about just that, can we also acknowledge the fantastic representation of what marriage is and how these too people have coped and made it through so much? Also I loved that Stanley got one of his best friends, Tom Cruise, and his wife, Nicole Kidman, to play these characters that feel real and believable. And I don't think it's because their just great actors, I think Kubrick's directing is just that good.

In my opinion there are 2 key points in the film that need to be understood well to understand the ending of the film. The first: at the beginning of the film they are invited to a party where Bill doesn't know anyone (it's easy to understand that whoever was at the party is part of the cult as is confirmed in the film), the disturbing thing is that his wife says she has to go in the bathroom but in truth she is having a conversation with a man, a man who reminds her that he can even get her back the job she lost (to underline the elite and their power) she would also like to accept but repeats that she is married, a burden for her ? But above all, why doesn't he go to the bathroom? Do you already know the people at the party? Is she part of the cult without remembering it or even manipulates Bill into joining? The second point: The mask that Bill no longer finds but which he discovers is near his wife's bed, who put that mask there? Did the cult enter the house and leave a warning? Or is it once again the wife who is part of it or is she hypnotized and therefore controlled like a slave and doing things she has no memory of?

The Parents push their kids to 3 Guy who was also present in 1st house party. So Basically it tells They were Ziglar's man or The Cultists. - In the Pool room, Ziegler asked for his daughter as a payment cause Bill had seen too much and One of His Cultist Girl ☠️ for Bill and it's time to Pay it Up with Bill's Own Offspring to Make it even. The conversation was trimmed like the Pool room scene. - Next scene we see the Toyshop scene. - Last conversation ( totally forgotting their daughter for 3 whole minute after pushing her to the 3 Man ) they says we have lots of time ( implying they are young ) and the word " *uck". Thats means let's reproduce....It's better option to give away which can be reproduce than your own life. Hardest choice but they went for it.

This ending scene is a mini ritual. The red toy at 0:07 is called "magic circle" and there is the guy in red spreading the bubbles to the children, just like the high preast in red clock spreading the incense inside the magic circle on the ritual. Then there is the sacrifice, the parents tap the children as she goes away and they don't even look back for her. And at the end, they close the ritual with sex, (sikbolized as she says the F word) just like the mansion ritual that ends with orgy. If you can get more clues like that, please comment bellow

The music changes when Bill and Alice turn to the final corridor where they would presumably lose their daughter. They have been tailed by at least four guys one of them even passing Bill from behind and joining the other members of the squad at the end of the final scene corridor. The daughter looks back twice searching for her father's supervision. Here is an interesting detail. Why would Helena feel the need to turn back to look only at her father? Why would she not just keep walking freely like she had been up until that very moment?. Did Alice secretly give Helena any indication to follow those two men beforehand?. Is the daughter following some previous indication that involves surrendering her to the cult?.
