    Beautiful riders, and the mule looks very healthy. Same for the pack horse. Nicely done young man. I know, 2 yrs rekindling. Just something about this time of year that makes me want to see how other elk hunters are doing or have done

    I’m doing something similar with my father and brother in a couple of months. How did you have the GoPro attached for the trail ride?

      i wish i had a better system, but i just held the gopro with the 8-9 in handle. but would have liked a more refined system because i couldnt use it quickly. but did get the job done, wish it had a zoom as well but for riding a horse it was nice

    Great video. I am going to the Bob this summer. I am curious to know if you saw any bears on your trip to the Bob or if you have any idea how common bear encounters are in the Bob ?

    • @bradyfryberger920
      @bradyfryberger920 3 роки тому

      Depends where but I have seen a few but every time they were running away from me... but I always have some protection on me... but deep in the Bob they are definitely more scared of humans than around civilization

      @@bradyfryberger920 Thank you for responding. Can you give me any kind of idea how common seeing bears is in the Bob ? How often have you been there ? I am going for a two week long fishing trip in August and want to make sure I am prepared. I am brining a Glock 10 mm. ( oh do you mostly see black bears or grizzly's ? )

      @@newlifeeveryday1821 i go at least twice a year, and in august bears will be eating huckleberries, have seen only black bears but have seen griz sign on the trails we ride. have seen most of my griz sign on trails where stock has died. i have honestly never been scared of any interaction. just be smart in thicker stuff to not surprise any animals, also have heard more griz are around the north fork entrance and i dont usually ride there but have had family see them in big prairie.

      To Chris .I think someone's a bit jealous. Don't we all wish our Dad's would've taken us elk hunting!? I doubt that you have the balls to ride a horse over that type of terrain. Back to the basement you go!!

    • @bradyfryberger920
      @bradyfryberger920 3 роки тому

      @@mervjb809 thank you, I think people have a misperception of horses. They are not something we just get to pick up and use. They are a year around commitment just for us to be lucky use them a few times a year. Plus in the mountains you just can’t care for yourself while hunting you have to think about horse feed and where they will get there water. But life goes on thanks for your words! Hunt on.

      @@bradyfryberger920 Thanks for posting your hunt. I've been on several back pack hunts out west, but never on horses. I would love to go someday with horses, but I don't begrudge anybody for using them..I know if I had horses, I would most definitely be using them. Keep it up, and never mind the basement dwellers 😇
