I think mine are real since they match with everything you said. Also got them on ebay refurbished I'm gonna go to an apple store just to double check.
Hard to tell but never hurts to ask Apple!

@@angelmaldonado5657 They just checked if it was real by doing an update and by looking at the hardware and it all came out clean so I’m good. Luckily not a fake and I got it as a bargain too which is hard to find because most AirPods Max on eBay are fake.

Hey bro so I’m meeting this guy in person to buy these on a selling app. So the main thing to look out for is text inside the case, if the headband squishes easily, if the headband slider slides harder? Anything else I should watch out for them in person? Because I did the serial number check on the coverage app and it says it’s a real serial number with apple care plus but obviously we know that they can by pass that check easily
