Just documenting my progress on the track
SMSP GP circuit Honda Fireblade 929
This was my 2nd proper track day on the GP circuit. (8th October).
On and off rain during the day meant the first 3 sessions were wet and slippery. I felt my Michelin gp 2's slip a few times under mild braking and acceleration, so I kind of lost my confidence and just rode sloppy 🤣
I did somehow manage to beat my PB from the first day by 4-5 seconds. I moved up to yellow group, so was able to maintain a better flow and follow faster riders around until I lost sight. My body positioning is improving, so i'll take the small wins.

2nd time here, and a new pb for me on the R15. Beat it by more than 2 seconds. Now 1:01:323. Still have lots of room for improvement, but I am pretty happy with the result. My main focus this time was getting better gear changes and getting my head lower.

This was a coached night. By far my worst experience on the track. So many accidents. Sessions were all cut short. Had about 35 mins of total track time. Far too many people on the track for the amount of instructors. This was me being balanced, trying not to overtake anyone aggressively or endangering any other newbies. Last session of the day, and 2nd session out on my 929. I was getting pretty tired by the second half of the video, but enjoyed having a touch more power available over the R15 🤣 I think I'm getting the hang of this!

First time at SMSP South Circuit for me. I had the first four sessions on my R15, then final two on my 929 Fireblade. We had just gone on after a little rain. Once I was sure that the track was dry, I started riding a little faster. Best time so far is approx 1:18 on the R15, and 1:12 on the 929.

This was my first track experience a few months ago. I was wearing my new one piece suit and found it very hard to move in it, but has since relaxed a lot. Although it was not fast and furious, I did have a heap of fun! Watch me kick off my new obsession with learning the art of track riding. Full 2nd session out on my CBR 929.

Luddenham Raceway SWR trackdays I'm new to track riding, so I bought this Yamaha R15 to learn how to ride faster 😃 This is a short video of my first time at Luddenham Raceway, and first time riding this bike. I also had to get used to using GP shift. 😅

What's the top speed for you on the south circuit? I've done full circuit in the past and spend too much time pegged on the redline which isn't good for the engine.
@@MrBCRC I hit 165 top speed on South Circuit. Yeah depends on the bike my R15 top was about 115 in the same section
