(Solo Cover) Vitrified Entity - Hyaline Wormhole attempt
Really cool solo by Phil Tougas, and you know it's by Phil because it has 2 licks he uses very often, but always played and phrased a differently, which is really cool. Fits into the song very well, with the slower riff going back to the faster tempo and a new riff which builds up to the solo, with guitar, bass and drums pausing for that opening lick, completely glorious.
After the solo, the "pre-chorus" and the 5/4 "chorus" riffs repeat, but instead of going back to the slower tempo riff after the "chorus" as before, there's a new """post-chorus""" riff, with some really, really catchy melodies, very singable if you are hyperactive maybe. Those sort of taper off into a waltz Coda at slower tempo, with lead guitars that repeat some of the """post-chorus""" melodies. Really cool stuff, also reminds me of the Coda from "Ancient Gods Genesis" where I also did a couple sloppy solo covers.
Definitely the most straightforward, song-structure-like track off of that Vitrified Entity album, to the point where I can almost justify using terms like """"chorus"""".
Still extremely disappointed in my skills :(

bad audio quality and background noise at the end (that one is nightmarish i dont know what it even is), this is a phone recording. My new teacher Sebastián Montes gave me this as a tone exercise, and I think it's gotten a lot better, especially my ringfinger! I have been playing this for about a year lol, and can easily play 90% but my arm is dead once I hit the lyrics when I'm playing at 100% speed

I can just about manage this speed with lots of practice and warming up and it still sounds pretty authentic at this speed.

hello guys i hope someone will ansewer my question how many years of playing guitar you need to be able to play this song at 90% how mush experience excuse my english
i've been playing electric for about 5 or 6 years now and I still can only do 90%, but I also didn't really focus on metal rhythm. With good practice your downpicking will improve pretty quickly I think, but at the same time downpicking is a very inefficient motion and this song is pretty fast, I can't really tell you an exact number of years but I'd guess if you really focus on it you could do it well after half a year to a year of focusing on downpicking or so

The main riff is the hardest for me, i can do it a little faster than 100% for now if i really focus, but 90% is pretty comfortable. The verse i can do comfortably at 100
