Dipmans Diaries - July update/summer jobs
Hey everyone,
Sorry I’ve not posted for a while, it seems to have been really busy and the time I have managed to get away from work and spent on the farm I haven’t always managed to get the camera out.
We hosted a wonderful charity event in Husband’s Bosworth at the end on July. Check out @hbtsheepdogtrials on Instagram or search on Facebook for more info. It’s a great first shop if you have ponies/horses, or just come along to watch the sheep dog trial and/or family dog show. This event runs annually and is typically on the last Saturday in July.

This week got exciting when we had to help out one of our cows with calving! Not something we like to do (or have to do often) but an interesting experience nonetheless. Our Belted Galloway cows tend to calve well on their own 99% of the time but we do find ourselves having to lend a helping hand to one or two each year. Nice update there seems to be an awful lot of ragwort this year as you say it only takes a small amount to make an animal sick and yet public parks and pathways are full of it local councils don't seem to care
Good video we are a less intensive or extensive small farm and the wildlife alone is an encouragement let alone less input costs🙂
