Thanks for the 2.860 views on another channel! All videos are together on Ragwood Refactory's channel now.
That was a great history lesson. Thank you so much! ❤
Simply wonderful
My grandpa restored a 1938 Rearwin Sportster. What a great airplane. He just passed away recently. Thank you for your video. Brings back memories.
As a kid this was my first plane ride. I became a pilot because of it
Thank you for sharing... Outstanding information, which museum is the aircraft located at now?
"flight of the rearwin speedster" proceeds to show one minute of flight and then off talking....
That is a sharp looking plane. Although all planes from that era were good looking, I swear.
Have you done or know of any engine installations other than those listed in the TCDS in your restorations?
Beautiful!! N3wy
Note: That's not an old car. Someone ruined it.
There was never a better-looking civilian tandem than the Rearwin Speedster.
there used to be one in a building in an abandoned junkyard in Lagrange Maine years back, the same place the B-17 Desert rat came from
Muito lindo!.
brings back so many good memories
Glad to see that " Patina Culture " has not invaded classic and antique aircraft restoration.
My dad, Harry Cagan was one of three Aeronautical Engineers on this airplane/ The other two were Bob Culleton (eventually a manager of the SSME, Space Shuttle Main Engine at Rocketdyne), and Bob Hicks. Shortly after the airplane was accepted by the US Army Air Force as a primary Trainer, my dad was drafted into the Navy. The test pilot was a gentleman by the name of Slim Kidwell, who I was able to fly with out of the Long Beach, California Bellanca dealership that he owned in the late 1960s. He taught me that the Bellanca was a fully aerobatic airplane!
Excellent
Nice job, nice vídeo!
Too bad it has to spend its time idle in a museum. Very nice restoration.
Who does your castings?
Good
Nice Research and Work Tim...... Get in touch. Weav in Sutter Creek, CA
I think Tim had a good time putting this presentation series together. Interstates do fly very nice..
Great Information Thanks to Tim Talen! If anyone ever has an opportunity to fly an Interstate Cadet, you will understand just how wonderful the planes flew.

thank you for posting it. I had been searching for the aileron controls.

I'm enjoying your video's, this is great information that I can use not just for a Cadet but also for other similar aircrafts from this era.
Sears Ted Williams lawn mower has more hp and I'm jealous
Hey Tim, thanks for posting these restoration videos. I'm presently attending A & P school and really want to help keep these classics flying. I'd enjoy learning from a old salt like yourself if I could be there in person. Your video's are the next best thing to being there so keep them coming. God Bless, Mark in Tulsa OK.
Tim, I found the Civil Aviation Regulation 4 A by doing a google search and it came up with a pdf immediately. Here's the link: stacheair.newcanopus.net/data/At%20Work%209B%20Repair%20Station%20CD/Data%20Info/CAR's/CAR%20Part%20%204a/PDF/CAR-PART%2004a.PDF I'm presently an A & P student finishing up Airframes and researching the Inpsections required for my final project which is a Annual for a Cessna 150. Granted the information you posted here pertains to the Interstate which is a beautiful classic aircraft. I actually hope to help keep these classic's airworthy as I advance through my career. Thanks for posting the video & God Bless.
My grandpa just wrecked his J2... hes fine but when he was getting close his magneto went out but he's got a couple thousand dollars worth of damage to his plane
Beautifully done guys!! What engine and what HP does a J2 have? I am rebuilding my grandfathers 1946 J-3 Cub right now. Ground up restoration.
Looks like a Continental A-40 (40HP).
parafan - Thanks!

@@DanasWings His engine has only one plug per cylinder so its 37hp not 40hp. Only the A40-5 made 40hp.
@@jameswalters9516 Doesn't matter.
What was the answer to the no oil pressure problem?
What you saw when they lifted the tail.
The best grass roots aviation video I've seen in a long time. Just my preference though,I'd rather hear the people laughing and talking, and no music. Please post more video of the airplane, as seen from the ground.
Excellent vid.
thank you that was helpful
Thanks, Tim. We're almost ready for cover on the CallAir Cadet ... fitting all our fuselage wood and hardware now. Like your videos.
Nice video, thanks for posting !
I am trying to make old-original expander-tube brakes work on a Republic Seabee, I wonder how bad that will be...
Saw it in Oshkosh, wonderful plane !
Nice Video on the unique tricks of the good old aircraft ! -Thanks for posting, regards from Alaska.
Tim, thank you so much for this series of Interstate Cadet how-to videos. I'm lucky to have been able to buy a good older Santa Paula restoration. What a nice-flying airplane. Your videos give me some good pointers to look for.
