Last Xmas was my first time in Zermatt. Really grateful I did it with my two young sons. The scenery, the music and the skier resonated with the memories. Thank you for this wonderfull video. I’ll be back… again… with the boys. :-)

Teach people how to do it in LESS SPACE. People are running me over in the lift line because they didn't take poles, and the rentals are waxed slicker than grease and can't even shuffle forward.

How do you ski switch
Even the instructor is skidding and brushing the slope in this video 😂 I guess the old way of skiing is still valid and requires less effort as 10 metre turn radius on steel edges means lots of G force on your quads.
I bet you’re right. Shaped skis transfer force to the edges much better than straight skis. I’m also pleased to see that it’s just as easy to “parallel” on them. And using a shorter ski is so much fun on tighter terrain, powder being a possible exception.

You should do this by correctly shifting the pressure you put on both legs, not ‘pulling them back’.
It’s the exercise that they needed, pull one back.
