So what was wrong with the butter-garlic shrimp? As a rule if butter is kept in the fridge and it still smells nice (you can tell) it is fine to use. The one thing that could make the shrimp less delicious is that garlic burned and provided this bitter taste. Anyway nice that you will get some more sunshine and warm weather for the next approx. 6 months.
