Matt looks so tiny on that sofa
Catherine was choking more than Zverev in a final.
Trying to find the sponsor cant find it anywhere
It’s under HAND serve. Not underarm.
Love Andy here ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Chaotic monotone. Not pumped.
Marimekko wall hanging. Finnish design at its best!
Madison Keys can play great - but she usually chokes in the later rounds of slams.
Dogs ! 🤨
Who came here for the artwork?
Not me.
There's a lot going on in that apartment what with the aforementioned backdrop, the shapes over on the right, the cushions and Catherine's dress not sure if it's traditional Looby Loo polka dots or maybe small flowers. Maybe Cathryn chose the Airbnb to match the wardrobe she was bringing with her.
My matches to flip between on day 1 are Fernandez, Tauson, Mirra Andreeva, Kartal, Kostyuk. Now listen good, Erika Andreeva: the little crocodile plays another day, can't wait to see her Lacoste AO outfit for the swing
I second David; the Agassi return is better. Novak's is just about getting it back and to the center of the court near the sever which is a difficult first ball strike and works the percentages great, but Agassi had better reaction and striking power in a era of crap Kevlar and synthetic strings... let alone the rackets which to be fair aren't that far behind todays.
Seriously Catherine is so pretty 🥰🥰 and this is coming from a girl btw lol
David is handsome - and I’m a boy.
So great to see everyone again! Luckily I have been able to see all the new tennis pets on my email feed. They all look so loved but that is the nature of this audience. The tennis almost doesn’t matter. It’s just a good excuse to see you all again. Please replay the song someday that ended last year. I was headed home from shopping and it just slayed me.
The flower artwork is based on the designs of Marimekko!!
Good call, just looked at the website
It's probably just stretched Marimekko fabric
Murray is there for another intelligent perspective. Another set of eyes and thought process to aid Nole on opponents before and during matches.
The discussion about Agassi's vs Novak's return is brillantly illustrated (and statistically corroborated) on the "Tennis 128" blog. In a nutshell, there are 2 approaches when returning. Agassi's offensive approach with the downside of getting aced at times, and Murray's defensive strategy of putting the ball in play. Novak has the best of both worlds.
When Agassi was on song there has been no one better
My wife and I just checked into the Adina for a week at AO and as we walked out to go to dinner at Sopranos we saw Catherine and Matt walk past us. Well, she noticed you guys. I wanted to get a selfie and have a chat but the moment passed. Anyway good to see you guys are here again for AO, hope it’s a great one. My tips are Coco and Carlos, and hoping Fonseca makes a huge splash. Love your work.
I don't think Djoković's problem is coach or technique, remember that he made Cincinnati final without a coach (Charly may be a coach in near future, but he isn't right now)
I do hope the guy on the write has to eat his own words. Do NOT be too arrogant, Murray was not better than the big 3, he had his chances and won. Tsitsipas and Zverev can do that as well.
Ma che ridi
Iga Światek has a new coach, Wim Fissette. I wonder how his cooperation with Daria Abramowicz will go?
Here is an outlier prediction: Novak will win one more. The French.
Novak can win one more, but it will take a special set of circumstances. If the best of the young guys remain healthy and on track, his chances are slim. If he slips in with one out and he stays healthy then his chances are high.
The Grand Slam would make his career complete as well as nailing down GOAT status.
Just want to confirm !!!!!!NOVAK still still best , He older than 2 players 15+-years , He had knee injuries in May /24, he still can got gold medal Olympic, he still can played wimbledon final, he still can played masters1000 final, how great NOVaK is❤rasing stars have a long way long time to proved themself, like big 3 , they all proved for more than 15 years on top
😂😂😂 guys Sinner should be out of tennis because of doping experiments( like Nadal all the time but protected from same source of evil power) for the sake of justice but.... who is pushing him and why? I know, but do you? If you dont know this answer you dont know what is behind the scene of this sport in global life arena.
oh dear
Wish Billie Jean would stop yapping, after all these years... People pamper her too much
2. Behind closed doors, things were supposed to be really hot, and even Abramowicz's urgent intervention didn't help. At the beginning of October, a sensational piece of news broke: Iga Świątek is ending her cooperation with her previous coach, Tomasz Wiktorowski. The tennis player announced this on her Instagram profile, where in a long post she thanked her former coach and at the same time announced that she was starting a search for a new coach. This time from outside Poland. Immediately after this sensational news appeared, an avalanche of questions started: what happened in Świątek's staff?
1.Polish Media: here's the inside story of Iga Świątek's breakup with her coach. She said: "Enough!" Iga Świątek wasn't supposed to thank Tomasz Wiktorowski, but he was supposed to thank her. The key to all of this was supposedly the dominant role of Daria Abramowicz. "The coach himself decided to stop this choleric dance with Iga's psychologist and finally said: "Enough!"" - the i.pl service describes the inside story of what was supposedly happening in the Polish woman's team. And that's not all.
He also had a big down after finally winning his first Roland Garros
No.Very simple the GOAT's age is taking half a yard off his movement, and Sinner and the other younger top tier players are too good to give half a yard and still win. The margins at the top tier are wafer thin and have been since the Federer era.
Why are people so hard on Novak? He is not getting any younger. Why do some people expect him to perform like he is still in his prime? Look at Nadal. He retired at his age and he is not yet 40. It is what it is. It is no longer Novak's era. Eventually, he will retire like all the great athletes before him.
Please just acknowledge there's two youngsters that play very good and so talented who are sinner and alcaraz
Losing motivation? What a stupid comment, the guy is 37 ofc his level isn’t gonna be the same but that being said the only players capable of beating him on a good day are Alcaraz, sinner and Medvedev I reckon
He's talked openly about not having the motivation that he used to have.
What?? He is 37 and in final!
To be honest, there’s nothing much to say. Natural progression is taking place. He’s probably at an age where we think he can still reinvent himself and find motivation to win, but in actual fact what we see is just what we see, there’s really nothing much he can do. He’s served tennis well and he’s time to give others the mantle is near. The same Federer felt then, Nadal the last 2 yrs and it’s now his turn.
The difference is Novak is healthy and still able to be competitive with the very best in the world. Don't forget Federer went 4.5 years between winning majors. He was stuck at 17 for a long while. So I believe Novak has another 5 years to go.
I think he has not got any motivation as he has got nothing to prove.
No. He hasn't. He was beaten by the better player. Simple as.
I think Novak always thought that as long as Nadal was active, the slam race was still on. Novak now knows that the slam race is over and his grand slam record is safe, so he may have a hard time finding motivation now that all of his biggest rivals are gone and the slam race is no more.
There is a reason Father Time is undefeated. FT seeks out older athletes and esp those with 2 decades of wear and tear. We will have a better idea in 2025.
He might accept that he’s not at his very best but is still just happy to be playing and leading the tennis life he enjoys. Reaping the joy out of it as long as he can. It’s not a tragedy one way or the other. He’s maybe the best player who ever lived. He can do whatever he wants and nobody needs to gloat over him losing a match here and there as his career inevitably winds down
He is going to get the 100 titles and at least one more slam.
Moving fwd, Sinner pretty much wins everything from here
I feel the ultimate peak of Novak’s long and illustrious career was the Olympic gold medal victory. He had that target for quite some time, and now he has achieved it, so that competitive edge, along with the profound impact of Nadal’s retirement, has definitely gone. I think it’s best for him to somehow find that competitive edge for one last time and sign off at the Australian Open with his 25th Grand Slam.
I don't think Novak has lost his motivation. I think he's run his race and the new order is taking over from the old order. He still got to the final and he's still a great player, but the sun is setting.
Barty left on top of the tennis world. These great Champions tend to be dragged out by injury and time.
Yes, it's all motivation, this video sums it up.
