dead ass waiting for season two im balling just thinking how theres a small change they will add season two based on the novels and what there is in the novels like the travelling and the world building theres lots more for shin and lena to come in the future and cant wait for whats to come for the future of 86 im hoping for that season two man it has been my favourite anime ever sinced i binge watched it in a day it was quite the emotional roller coaster with the sound tracks and the ending it couldnt of been better unless they added a "season two soon" but it was perfect for the animes ending and not many animes can perfect CGI but i must say the staff have outdone theirself especially with the delay it was a great first season and an anime ill NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER forget it will always have a place in my heart

86 is still the very best anime I have ever seen, of course that is just my opinion. The novels were amazing too. I genuinely cannot wait for season 2 down the road, as unconfirmed as it is.

I felt like 86 was way to heavy handed with its messaging and could have used a lighter touch. Some subtlety and trust that its audience would understand regardless.

I ALSO wanted them to hold hands!!😂😂😂 That aside, 86 was a really good anime. Everything was beautiful. The music made it feel like a kdrama sheesh!! So cinematic, and relevant to things that happened in the past and even right now if you look closer.🌹 For me personally, as a person living in a third world country, Lena's character was relatable...not really in the 'fighting a war and trying to be good to each other' sense, but in the sense of...she envisions an ideal society where people get equal chances to live and experience life. There's a lot of problems in reality and that vision always looks near impossible, and people telling it to your face don't help...someone can really be caught up in despair over that. BUT that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to do anything, and she finally proves that point when she's able to keep the 5 last 86 members of the Spearhead squadron alive long enough that they can run off and live to fight another day. Even though she didn't know it. And she also learns to take care of future 86 squads that she commands and be more efficient in battle.⚡️ I'm reminded of our nation's state everyday through the news and what happens around me, and it doesn't help that Africa is still being used as a resource mine by others, where many people are stuck in the mindset of needing aid, and not many are empowered enough to know that they CAN offer something good and build their communitites...because their communities DO need help, but that doesn't mean i can't continue to dream and take the steps to ACTUALLY help my country out, little by little, in the way i am enabled to. This anime reminds me why i make it a point to 'get out of my head' after i dream and actual GO OUT and do stuff. And i know I'm not the only one trying to. And that's good🌹

I liked how Fredrica is, while on the surface, loud, childish, and a little obnoxious ('cause she's a child, of course, right), she's actually quite sensible and unusually mature in the moments that matter. Like, the way she considered keeping the Spearhead squadron in the safety of not going to war "trapping them in a cage of pity", is quite interesting. It's quite impressive how someone her age actually has a mature and fundamental understanding of what they feel. Also when she acted like Shin's little sister in that once scene she was pretty cute. For a moment I was like "I'm sorry, but she's cuter than Anya" lol

Absolutely adore this anime. Typed in anime similar to nier automata, this came up first. So i began to watch it and the more i did the deeper i fell in love with it. By the end i didnt want it to finish. The last episode was a masterpiece.

This anime was AMAZING! It was sooooo good. I need MORE content. The story is great, action is great, the lore is great, everything. The only thing that made it bad, I need more of Lena and Shin. The look on Shin's face when Lena said his name, man that made me smile. He was blushing and smiling and everything man that shit was cute. Waiting for szn 3!!

Glory to the Spearhead squadron! This show is fantastic. The ending when Shin and Regina finally meet, it made me cry, I was not expecting that.

The soundtrack for 86 was absolutely god-tier in my opinion. Even the orchestra god himself Sawano Hiroyuki composed it, and if that doesn't tell you how good the anime was then I don't know what will. He's single handedly responsible for Attack on Titans success, and why it's so popular. I highly recommend listening to a few of his works, "Voices of the Chord" and his Symphonic Suite "[AoT] Part2-6th:ThanksAT"

For those wondering, Shin mercy shoots his Allie’s because the enemy will take their brains and use them as essentially new computers. Their old ones had a time limit on them, using a brain removes the time limit.

The novels are good imo. Only problem being now I gotta learn japanese for a few weeks...
