sweet soul produced by Duke Ellington Enterprises(!!) no clue if Duke was actually involved in this recording. Duke Ellington Enterprises was ran by his son Mercer in the 70s & was being used to recruit musicians for Duke's band (such as Anita Moore)

Just like Pere Ubu circa 1975, this is POST-PUNK before PUNK itself had properly happened. Mind-blowing. 🦃
This is so cool. Where did you find this copy?
I dont own this one, only had an mp3 of it
I’m a sucker for some organ
That delay is sweeeeet
Does this vinyl has a discogs page? I mean the "Unknown Artist - Untitled" pages.
not that im aware of
I always check out the address on the label just to see if it looks like an old building. Most of the time it's a newer one.
Side B?

Hello! Could you please upload the song 'Summertime'? - Many thanks!

He was my closest friend in the early 70s. I was 15, he was 19. We were in a drug rehab place in Hartford Connecticut. He was discharged before me. A few weeks later I escaped and hitchhiked to Woodshole, Cape Cod, knocked on the door of a house and borrowed $5.00 for the ferry to Nantucket. Waiting for the ferry I met an old woman on the docks painting water colors. We talked for an hour. Later that day while I was standing on the top deck of the ferry waiting for departure, the old woman came running to find me. She gave me a bag with a sandwich, milk, an apple and crackers. I arrived in the late evening on Nantucket Island with only his address - "The Little Crooked House" on Broad Street. I found the house and found Chip (his actual name). We went for a walk across the island at night - winter of 1971. Freezing cold we arrived at the other side where the waves thunder and the clouds rush across the moon. We didn't get back to his place until 6 am where I fell asleep. But an hour later a loud knock on the door found two policeman looking for me. I was a minor. They took me to jail where I waited for my parents the next day who took me directly back to the rehab place. Gwyl is a magical person, the real thing.
This could've been a hit if it was given decent airplay.
Probably from the 1950s.
this is crazy. do we know what the a side is?

Unbelievable find, amazing that something great from the garage era is still being discovered
swaggiest drummer ever!
Wow, sounds GOOD even though its unpolished.
I make mp3 s of garage 1965-8. Captures the audio. Then to my itunes library on desktop to my phone. Works well. Love this!

Good!!!
Wow great!
A great gem that’s been unearthed and a great find 😊.
When this song starts off it sounds similar to the Yardbirds but then goes off in another.
s
i was expecting an original version of "Garbage Man" by the Cramps lol, this is still awesome!
Same....
Soulful vocals. There's a Motown touch to this garage record. Nice keys.
This is sixties garagepunk really.
what is "The End" is that the band?

Big Fudge Fans?
Amazing record, one of my all time favourites! Recoded live on the porch.
you got a spare copy?
@@no-tube no, just one, but I know a guy who might have one for sale.
Yah, their hit was ' Cortisone'...👍🏻
Nice! Would you sell this record?
broooooooo whole time i thought Kurt made this one,,,, wow!
This is fantastic even though it’s a 1st for me. Anything from the 60’s or 70’s I’ll give a listen 👂 to. I was in High School 🏫 in 1973 and thanks for this wonderful gem 💎 I wished it would’ve been a hit. Not everything was played on 📻 FM radio if it was I don’t remember it. Great song 🎶 by the way.
good good
Swinging saucy magic.
💖
Oh wow! I have this song by the HARLEM HAMFATS. They were a manufactured band, much like the Monkees, but in 1936 (when some record exec wanted to cash in on the growing crossover popularity of African American jazz artists like Satchmo and the goodtime blues of the jug band craze). They weren't even from Harlem, but they sounded like they were having a lot of fun and are fun to me. "Stick out your can" was some pretty racy humor for back then but it's just so quaint these days. But this band sounds more like they're trying to copy that jumpin' Louis Jordan, who came along a bit later; not very successfully but I love that they're trying, much like joe jackson would do in the early eighties- ua-cam.com/video/4amyN1OgL_8/v-deo.html
