Last half term, each junior school class took part in our Playground Design Challenge. Each form split into two teams who then designed their ideas on Minecraft. These designs were exported into CAD software. This would make it easy to print them using a 3D printer. Have a look at our designs and see which one you like best!

Upper One pupils have become video game designers since returning to school. They have all designed and programmed a game after learning some new programming skills. They had to find errors by debugging their code and made instruction booklets on Google Slides.

It was fantastic to see so many great entries coming in for the short film competition, and the popularity and success of the film competitions this year means that we will be running film competitions every year from now on. 4C have been busy studying the reputation of Mary Tudor otherwise known as ‘Bloody Mary’. There were asked to make a short film as a historian tv journalist (like Dan Snow or Lucy Worsley) to assess whether Mary deserved her reputation as ‘Bloody Mary’ or whether she was misunderstood and misrepresented.
