@@Alexngalmi they only seem to randomly target red light runners in certain areas. I don't think I've ever witnessed wrong way enforcement before. Overall, enforcement with traffic stuff has been pretty low.

They should probably start by giving tickets to all the people in cars who run red lights and stop signs first before worrying about the bikers doing it.

@@FixedGearCycling Whenever it comes to bike "debate" the framing makes it rarely worth it to discuss the nuances of why people on bikes should not have the same legal expectations as car drivers when you consider our awareness, the fact that we are not insulated in both sight and sound like car drivers, the fact that we can stop faster and not pose a threat to people with thousands of pounds of metal, that we can navigate pedestrians in a safe manner etc. So in my riding you see that supposed "safer" riding doesn't really shield me from the typical dangers, and that people still feel it is reckless because they project car driver responsibilities that should not be put on cyclists.

I could choose to not wait if I really wanted, but I can get around fast enough and I like the occasional stop to look around 😂I guess another advantage of using the lights to know what the next few steps are going to be and it can keep things a little more predictable which isn't a bad thing on a regular commute.

@@SeekingAlfalfa in this video I am crossing over the Williamsburg bridge :) I've gone over the Brooklyn bridge in a few videos but most of my videos have either the Williamsburg or the Manhattan bridge being used.

Thanks! It would be nice if bike computer brands like Wahoo would make a more modern solution for integrating cycling data but all the workarounds are annoying and add so much extra time and effort lol

@@BrianMcDonald on my trek marlin it was the front hub, tightened to the point where it couldn't hardly spin free. On my salsa it's the rear. Luckily the front is sealed bearings. WTB hubs. But this back side was sucking up 30 watts easy. Sad sad situation. Trek marlin is an MTB The salsa is a gravel bike. Both aluminum because I'm a bit on the heavy side, but mechanically minded luckily

Seems like a wheel issue like that would wind up being a warranty issue no? I feel like wheels spinning is a basic requirement for manufacturers 😂

@@BrianMcDonald I definitely agree. Sadly I fixed them already. I don't like waiting for stuff. I definitely communicated it with the shop I purchased it from. I agree whole heartedly, it seems spinning wheels is basic AF! 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Yes, I use a GoPro and I got a chest mount to use with it that gives the angle/perspective you see in the video. I have a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt v2

My example is never putting pedestrians at risk and respecting right of way, while safely getting to work in one piece! This is shown in the first 15 seconds of the video where I encounter a stop sign and wait for a pedestrian to cross the street and then wait for the car that got to the stop sign first to go :)
