We encounter stripped bolts from previous shoddy work and lots of gunk and gasket material clogging it up. We make some mistakes that almost cost us big time. We overcome these setbacks with some good ideas taking more t...

2000 Honda Passport Tune Up - Episode 9 Removing the Engine and Transmission 4x4 6VD1 MUA5
Переглядів 679Рік тому
"I'll just remove the engine" I said to myself about my neglected 2000 Honda Passport 4x4 5 speed 6VD1. The engine was covered in oil. All the seals were leaking. Trying to clean up and service this engine properly with it in the vehicle would have been a nightmare. So I decided to just take it out. In this video we show you everything it takes to get the engine and trans out. Going into it I w...

HUGE NATURAL BACKFLIP - Mammoth Mountain POW DAY!!!

This particular morning started like any other. Get ready for work, shovel the truck. But as I was shoveling, I realize how much and how cold and knew it would be Deep and knew I would skip work that morning. Brought the gopro for a couple clips and this is what it turned into. I became addicted to real powder this day.
2000 Honda Passport Tune Up - Episode 6 New Wheel Bearings and Seals
Переглядів 1,3 тис.Рік тому
The Old Passport's wheel bearings were riding a little rough and making some noise. In this episode we get to work removing the Hub Assembly, deciding to order new tools including new brass punches and bearing race and seal tool instead of having a shop do the work for us. We knock out the old races clean everything up and install new races bearings and seals. Then we reassemble the hubs onto t...

2000 Honda Passport Tune Up - Episode 5 Front End Refresh
Переглядів 1,6 тис.Рік тому
The Passport's steering and front suspension were not great. Everything was kind of blown out and the steering borderline dangerous. In this episode we get to work removing the Hub Assembly, Spindle, Ball Joints, Tie Rod Ends, CV Axles, and the Steering Rack. All in the name of refreshing everything and increasing the likely hood of fun drives. This was quite the undertaking. Had I had someone ...

Very helpful thank you
respect
Watching this reminded me of the trials and tribulations i had when tearing apart the engine from my Holden Rodeo, which has the same running gear as the Passport. I was amused how you went through that manual as i had done. Mine was covered in sludge and had spun a bearing. I could not figure out why it kept losing oil from the bell housing. I took the tranny out 3 times. Twice with help from a friend. He gave up on the third attempt. So i used planks of timber and a few jacks to lift it. Took me forever. Finally determined i had replaced the rear main seal with a faulty one, which caused the leak..It also leaked coolant, from one of the o rings in the valley. It took me over 4 years to do half of what you have done. Wish i had found this when i was working on the car.
I know it has been a while since this was posted but are you willing to sell parts from the other passport? I have a 99 Amigo, and the ABS motor constantly runs while the fuse is inserted. I believe it is the ABS motor under the pump, but I cannot find it online. If someone has any insight on this issue, let me know!
It's for a different motor plug bro
I need somebody to reach out to me I'm dealing with a 99 Honda like the one this guy is working on and I got fuel coming in the intake out the throttle body and it's fuel injected a guy worked on it and I'm trying to piece it back together please help
I always see this whenever I’m going up chair idk (it’s either 8, 25, or 23), and I see skier tracks going off it it’s crazy!
Doing a front refresh on my 98 passport, so thank you for the video!
nice video, the sound effects at 10:00 were top notch lol
I hope this project is going well
Good lord. Heavy banger.
Okay, i'll be honest with you. I went to mammoth mountain, and right now i am eight and went to that place. I went to the FACE😅
There is one similar at baker drop direct into the trees then a steep switchback single wide chute. Great fun!!
that landing makes this look like CGI haha wow.
😮😮😮😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
the anxiety seeing you just chill under that massive fracture at 00:35 gave me is unreal
cartwheel 💀
Bro, that was sick how you stopped the rotation after the flip.
Great tip with that monoloc collar. Can you share the part number? It looked like 884006P, but I don't see a Rodeo/passport application for it. BTW, something very relaxing hearing that slow guitar with a video in fast motion.
I ordered from Summit racing. Did a little research first but mainly just did it on the recommendation of a guy from the forums. Worked out great got everything put back together first try. ACT Monoloc Collar ACL-884006P
“I don’t need that hype” Proceeds to eat shit
Bro rly couldn’t land it and blamed it on the guy in the chairlift 💀
Great video with timing explanation. ua-cam.com/video/seW4HWkwb3Y/v-deo.htmlsi=u6y30moHfZxOB2uq
Your videos are amazing. You have such patience. Thankyou. Gonna watch your timing video. My axiom needs timing belt kit done , 144k. 21 years old, still nervous to tackle it..never done one and not as young as i used to be...lol. that 1/4 turn thing im sure id mess up. We shall see. Thanks for all your videos. Just started seeing them. I have an 00 2wd rodeo and the 03 awd axiom, with tod light that just flashes. Not sure whats going on there. Thankyou
See my pinned comment for great old video on timing explanation.
I needed this so badly! thank you from the Zu fam!
I'm in the exact same boat after tearing my engine and transmission to replace my upper oil pan gasket I finally have it all in and put back together and mine was shaking and I'm pretty sure I didn't do the left side of timing with a quarter turn so what do you have to do?
ua-cam.com/video/seW4HWkwb3Y/v-deo.htmlsi=3iCYPOo1GhhC6oTX
This the best video I found
Great Video I feel like I could rebuild mine now!!
Wow!! Very impressive presentation. I have a 2001 Rodeo with a 3.2 engine. You are correct that the engine is a non-interference engine. Many shop manuals and information online erroneously claim otherwise. (I.E. The Haynes manual may list it in error as an interference engine)
Thank You!! Ya I was defiantly worried that running it with the timing off on one bank would have damaged the valves. I rechecked the compression to make sure that everything was ok when I re-timed it. Running great now, going to upload a video of setting the timing correctly next :)
nice send and almost landed it but the guy on the chairlift doesnt deserve the hate because he was supporting you and cheering you on
sick
Great vid brought back lots of memories from when I had a shop and rebuilt a Rodeo's engine complex little package and lits of pain with just manual tools haha good times for sure
Ya just took my time and checked and double checked. Been running good so far...
Nice! Next vid.
Nice work!! Thing looks brand new.
Bro u literally told me to take this thing to the junkyard in a previous video. Wtf u like it now?
Yes it is a pain that screw in the back
I swapped it out for a regular bolt so now I can get a wrench on it easier.
One of the best freerde powder,i have seen on UA-cam!
Inverted aerials are harmful to lift passes.
Lol pretty sure Mammoth does not enforce this policy, flips all day all over that place.
Looks great almost like fresh off the factory floor
Dude you went balls deep and are the only one to actually document and help anyone else working on a 5speed 3.2 4wd! Thankyou for doing it all your videos helped me alot
Appreciate that. Engine rebuild video coming soon...
All kills no fills, love it!
Ninety miles an hour
Slow video down might be able to learn something
You can go into setting at playback at .75 the parts u need slow.
Nice chasm gap at the end 🤙
And with SRV in the back, beatiful
How are things going with the passport?
Actually really good. Got it all put back together, not without a couple hiccups. Running good now. Working on that video a bit at a time.
@@baluskisworld ok cool. Was just curious.
needs more veiws, bro was shredding
I got gifted a 98 passport automatic looks damn near just like it, scouring the inter webs for info on them.
Fun little cars and easy to work on. My first one was a 98 automatic. That's my parts car now.
Guy absolutely blows the landing on a chair line jump and thinks he's the baddest Larry on the mountain. He knows he's awesome chairlift guy, no cheerleading necessary 🤡🤡
ua-cam.com/video/qsOw6jN2vzY/v-deo.html I'm actually a snowboarder, u just a keyboarder. Stick to the video games kid...
@@baluskisworld I'm surprised you have friends to film you, with your piss poor attitude
@@baluskisworldbest comeback i've ever seen. Sadly, I think people judge you because they are often more biased towards skiers. Also, nice send! I would never have had the COURAGE to even go off a rock, let alone do a backflip.
That snow looks amazing!
Mondo bruh. Fkin hella.
Thats a nice hit!
Just stick a mammoth pole on the side and it’s an official jump! Awesome riding!
