I attended that years show. I believe it was the first or second time the Angels came back to BAFB for a couple of decades after being banned by the base commander for getting a little too showy. I was stationed there and working the show when that happened.

This is why I dreaded having to take civilians on check-rides. If THAT maneuver made fat-boy sick, he'd survive about 10 seconds in my Strike Eagle.

I have watched the videos of the U 2, the air force F 16's and the blue angels, never have I seen anyone of color in the cockpit. That's unacceptable for many reasons

Thought I was going to sick when you went 7.2g’s. Would love to do that I could never take the changes. Cannot even ride a carnival ride anymore. Did see you pass out when he took you 7.2 g’s. It must have been a great ride and to see the beauty from the jet. Could not get that from a commercial plane. Thanks to Blue Angels and for allowing the Blue Angel pilots to take people up for a ride that I am sure they will not forget.

I have so much admiration for these pilots I cannot begin to express how much...... they're in a class of their on and I'm jealous

I fly the F/A -18 Superhornet by VRS on MS FSX and the sounds and alarms are pretty much idententical on a cold/dark start-up. You follow a checklist and it becomes second nature after its performed numerous times but always reference the checklists. I believe VRS models over 90% of the gauges' operations including navigation, communications, weapons, radar, etc. Carrier landings are not easy but its the closest to the real thing one can experience. Aerosoft Simulations has a sweet F-14D Tomcat and Simviation is a goldmine of freeware aircrat for those interested.

I’ve acquired a new respect for those Blue Angel’s pilots.

If this was done on the morning before the airshow, I was actually driving along the road that goes past the security forces building at the end of the runway. My friend and I went to the base to see if any planes would be out training and I caught a single Blue Angel taking off directly above us. Neat coincidence!

That was awesome. I’ve always wanted to go up in a Blue Angel. . I’m sure I’d get a little nauseous to . I wouldn’t worry about it. . How many people can say they rode in a Blue Angel ? I’ve seen them at flight shows and always thought how cool they are . I was smiling the whole time I was watching the video.

I never flew in or on a plane but if I ever did I would like for it to be an F17 because it was my dream to fly one but life happened if you know what I mean only one life to live. So do your best and give your best no matter what filed it may be in. SMIB.
