For me, part of Blues is bending and holding notes far longer than he does most of the time. He just can’t help himself and can’t take his foot off the gas pedal…but when he does, it can be stunning. There’s definitely something to be said about what you don’t play and space between notes being powerful. Regardless, I’ll take Yngwie’s accelerated blues over anything Joe Boneheadamassa does

I think that's a lot like the way Eddie van talen played blues. It works and it s their own style. So have to respect it. I wouldn't put it up against Johnny winter or Ronnie earl or SRV. But it's good

I've seen this vid where Zakk supposedly teaches guitar lessons. Supposedly is the key word. The only people that are learning anything from that are people that can already play about as well as Zakk. Because they're garbage "lessons". Its more along the lines of "Zakk sort of tells us what he's doing when he shreds and you can figure out the rest" 🙄 Much like his guitar playing, it was unneeded and over the top. Noise.

I got to meet Zakk at Ozzfest and like Dime he was an ordinary dude with extordinary skills. Told him he ripped the fucking roof of the Assylum where I saw him the year before and he said thanks man I really appreciate that. Signed my Black Label Society DVD got up, shook my hand and said see you at the show. He had tough shoes to fill and managed like all the greats found his own style and can play anything with extreme precision. One of the most dedicated and disciplined guitarist of my generation and his axe collection then and his own line now as beastly as his playing . 💪 🎸🔊🔊🔊

Dammit brother i sure am glad you said they put the bulls eye on it just for you. For a second and only a second it looked like you was creepin off dime. After runnin it back it completely tasteful and very cool. Thank You for keeping his name alive. I think it's going to be my next guitar and i am seriously thinking and i hope they have it but i would love to have the lightning and the bullseye mixed would be bad ass.
