Really enjoyed this watching this! Wonderful interview of Eric Roberts! Such an incredible actor and enjoy hearing him talk and the process , his passion and seeing his personality. You asked the great questions and at the right time.
I worked in NYC, use to try to get to LesPauls gig weekly.. I missed your Les. Gig. but when I was told that it was on UA-cam .. it is a monthly watch (Steve Howe and Les paul) YT.. I seen Rick's solo show a few months back.. incredible, I was smiling ear to ear.. and his wonderest stories.. seeing Jon/Geeks last N.American show... hopefully you will do a positive happy show and /or get away from cowboy bar band.. and realize you are better than Joe Satreani and most accomplished guitar gun slingers.. I would love to see you solo... and I would love to hear your happy stories. ..
He doesn't look like he did in ET.
The "Pope of Greenwich Village" is one of my favorite movies. Eric Roberts rocked that movie. He should have received an Oscar for supporting actor.
Looking like guitar Gandhi
Um dos guitarristas mais "subestimados" da história do rock. ❤❤❤
I always thought he would have been great in Saturday Night Fever instead of Travolta .
haha Steve is very humble and cool interview.. such original dynamic soloing skill .. omg the clap.. i use es175 to get that tune finally down .. been listening to Yes since I was a kid.. amazing talent to this day so many years and great tunes
Always one of my favorite. I started surfing 72 big wendsday is our story. Im land locked. Not in jail but stii haven't seen the ocean in 4 yrs big wendsday takes me home every time. I far as im concerned Lee was the main star .
Now there's a guy who could afford dentistry...and didnt. LOL Good on him.
Amazing man ! Thank you for your music it means so much to me.
an absolutely fascinating man ... musician and philosopher ... thank you Leslie
my all time favorite films : 1, blue velvet 2. last picture show 3. to kill a mockingbird 4. halloween 1978 5. rebel without a cause 6. two lane blacktop 7. big wednesday 8. bronco billy 9. badlands 10. texas chainsaw massacre 1974 11. apocalypse now 12. american graffiti 13. quadrophenia 1979 14. great expectations 1946 15. wuthering heights 1939 (TIE) AND the third man 16 (TIE) heathers AND the river's edge 17. hoosiers
That's a fantastic list! Couldn't argue with any of them really.
@@TheWeeklyShowwithDavidJMaloney thank you.
I love that his music isn't about getting drunk and cheating on your wife. I LOVE country music, but like older styles better than the newer rock infused version. This is great musuc, great voice with a great message. My heart melts!!❤ Think I have found a new favorite singer (couple!).
It is a masterpiece that should be preserved in that crazy vault they have. Whenever people ask me why do I live in a shack by the beach. Why don’t you want things? I tell them to watch this film and you might understand. Probably not , but might. I was all those guys over the years, but probably too much Leroy. It sure is satisfying being Bear these days, but that just means the others are gone.
All he does is talk about the show. If he had any chance of ‘making it’ he’d be doing shows as much as possible, being funny. This bs sucks
I just happened to see Big Wednesday just a couple of weeks ago and didn't realize Lee Purcell was in it until then I always had a crush on her in old TV shows like Barnaby Jones.
By 2026 Will Be The 30th Anniversary of Disney's The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Notre Dame Has been restored
I Have Both Movies On Disney DVD
After Star, Pope, and Runaway, I thought Roberts was going to be one of the biggest movie stars, but his career never took off the way it should’ve.
Steve is an amazing musician.
Really enjoyed this conversation, thank you!
Thank you for watching!! More to come every week, both from artists you know and artists you don't!
A creative soul ,artist and musician Street smart
King of the gypsies , great movie and of course the maestro on mandolin , DAVID GRISMAN
He was a georgeous man when he was young
RUNAWAY TRAIN (1985). I hope everyone makes time to see it as the performances and cinematography are powerful. That ending…. It will stay with you.
Steves got lots of life. Listening to him is sheer privilege and joy.
The Crowes just dont sound as good without Marc in the line up...he adds something magical to that band. Seen them over a dozen times with various line ups and without Marc...something is missing
He still has some thick hair
Dustbin man
Watta rwat
If you ever wondered if Alfred E. Newman had a brother... Steve Howe.
It's Mademoiselle...
Thanks James V. Hart. You made the screenplay of my favorite movie ever: Bram Stoker's Dracula.
Steve is a cool cat let alone a demon guitar player / musician. It takes a solid person to get there and sustain a career from it. I'm a fan.
Why Alabama?
Eric Robert’s was born for the part king of the Gypsy ❤
Incredible musician and completely underrated.
Didn’t Marc pass away recently?
I wish Sandy was around to explain Imaginos in detail. So far as I know, no one has gone through it, song by song to fill in a few gaps. Maybe Albert will one day.
On UA-cam a guy named Pseudiom does a great job . "Imaginos, not lost media."
King of the Gypsies was incredible
The Pope of Greenwich Village is the Good Will Hunting of the 80’s. Even better in my opinion!
To me, the Yes albums' with Bill Bruford were the best. But those were the albums I listened to when I was very young so they were and still are special to me...
He's a legend and also seems like a good person. I used to think he was a bit selfish in his playing (especially in the late 1970s soloing all over the vocals, etc). But he was young and an artist and that comes with the territory. What a body of work!
Imagine being a musical student to Albert Bouchard
Yeah, if you're so freakin' spiritual you should have graciously left when Bruce was ready to be back on stage. Now you'll forever be known as the guy who helped Kevin Cronin steal REO from Bruce and Neal!
Not his fault. Kevin would have just found another bass player. Do you feel the same way about Dave replacing Gary?
@TheKevinaustin Gary was in the throes of alcoholism and it was a decision by the full band. Not theft by deception... Kevin also refused to reinstate Gary despite claiming he would, and that's all documented on the MTV video...
To this day I am still finding wonderful pieces of music in Yes group albums.
They are incredibly amazing live Never experienced the timing and accuracy of these guys. Seen them many times over many years 😊❤
I have to agree with Christina. I was a new Flight Attendant in the early 1980’s when I had Ruta Lee and her husband on a flight. She was incredibly condescending, bordering on cruel. She wasn’t happy with the breakfast selection and chewed me out over it. We’re at 30,000 feet. There was nothing I could do but sincerely apologize. She did an impression of me apologizing. Her husband was a kind man. May he rest in peace.
