This was a day that I will never forget. April 24, 2010 was the day I said goodbye to living in Georgia after nearly six years, and it was a very stormy day across the Southern USA. This storm system produced the Tornado in Yazoo City, MS, and then it went through Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and into the Carolinas. However, for Tennesseeans, this was nothing compared to what would unfold the weekend after. I'm talking about the Great Tennessee Flood of 2010.

Winter Storm Pax gave me 23 inches of snow/sleet. School closed for two days as a result at the time. I even got some thundersnow/thundersleet at one point during Pax.

That system just gave me a half inch of snow as I was on the northwest fringe of the storm, but because roads were not treated for me, and in combination of temperatures falling into the single digits on the night of Jan 28, 2014 for me, it resulted in some slippery roads, and I had a two hour delay for school on Jan 29, 2014.
